I tried the chefs chicken sandwich today. It?s about as bland a sandwich as I think I?ve ever had at Panera. Microwaved and dry... ?grilled? chicken breast, 6 tiny Parmesan crisps, a pile of lettuce and a quarter sized drop of mayo on a stale, cold briocheroll. For $11 no less. It tasted like something you?d get out of the chiller at 7-11, and except I had to endure ?That?s what Icall music 1979? blaring in the dining area while I ate it. Read more

The service was okay on the drive through, was really excited about the new soup and salad. Compare the picture to the reality.... $15 for something the size of a fast food side salad and a tiny bit of soup. Such a bad value. Felt ripped off. I?ll pay morefor good food, but I thought maybe they put the wrong salad size in my bag? You can get great food at other places for thismuch money. Also the Thai chicken soup really watered down. A couple bagels a couple coffees. Seemed easy enough. I am sure behind the counter was new. But just seemed to take forever.... They did toast our bagels. I like the soup and 1/2 sandwich option. It is the perfect about of food for me. Today I ordered the 1/2 Frontega Chicken... Panini and chicken noodle soup. The panini was excellent. The fresh basil gave it added flavor. The soup tasted as if theymade it with bouillon or canned broth. It was very salty and nothing about the broth tasted as if they had cooked it withchicken. I ended up throwing most of it away. My suggestion would be to stick with what they are known for. .. anything madewith bread. After all, they started as the St. Louis Bread Company. Read more
