My brother flew in from out of state and I took him here to enjoy some libations. The atmosphere, service, and drinks were... great. I?ve been here many times and enjoy coming each time. The prices were excellent. I?ll definitely be back. Read more

Usually love it here, but when we came in the vibe of the staff was off. We came in and (keep in mind it's a seat yourself) sat... in a booth, and waited more than 20 minutes to even get a service, even had to go ask who our server was. (At this point wenoticed other tables who had walked in after, that had gotten their meals already. Our server, she gave the impression that wewere a terrible inconvenience to her, and didn't do much to check in on us during our dinner. Might have just been an off night, but we usually come here because of the fun atmosphere and prompt service. Not sure what went wrong here. Read more

I like Barrel and Bones, so it pains me to write a bad review of them, but this should serve as a cautionary tale for anyone... wishing to go to the restaurant. I would highly recommend you go anywhere else for bourbon or bbq after this experience. Iwent to The Colony location on Thursday, March 5 at around 4pm ? after first going to their Carrollton location, which wasclosed due to a corporate party, so I had driven an extra 25ish minutes because I really like the place?. My friend and I wereintending on having a few drinks and early dinner. I love their bourbon selection, and as someone who works in the industry, understands rarity, etc. I asked the bartender. Corday (sp?) how much a pour of Weller 12 was, and she replied $8.75. ?Ohthat?s a great price!? I replied? to which she paused and said she needed to check to see if that was the correct price. Shewent to the manager and came back to tell me the price had been raised to $10. Her checking on the price and the price beingraised was based solely on my reaction to the initial price ? no other reason. It had clearly been put in the system at thatother price and had sat on a shelf for at least a significant time before I arrived. I was caught off guard by the raising of aprice solely due to my reaction, and raised my concern in a calm manner with both Corday (sp?) and the manager ? who eventually, and reluctantly gave me the lower price - but then charged me $1 for my ice for the first time that I have ever been chargedfor ice on any of my 8-10 times I?ve visited both locations. I was at their Carrollton location the day before and there was noup-charge for ice - this was clearly done as a punitive measure. From that point forward, Corday also gave my friend and I thecold shoulder and it was clear we were no longer welcome at the establishment. Imagine going to a clothing store, finding ashirt for $20? then at the register, when you tell the clerk that ?you think it?s a great price,? the cler Read more

Out of all the choices of local restaurants to go to for my Birthday dinner. I chose this favorite of ours. This place was and... still is one of the tip top Craft Brew and Whiskey bar in all of DFW. They also should be more famous as a Smoke House becausethier Smoke and BBQ here are top notch. They have never disappointed me. Ribs I had where Succulent and tender jucy, just fromthe dry rub. Brisket street tacos where mouth watering good and the Black and Tan Beer battered Onion ring tower is a fantasticappetizer. Also of special note is their Baked potato Salad which is a unique house recipe, its a must try! But the show steelertonight was the vanilla Ice Cream covered Bread pudding. I had for Birthday cake ????. Just Wow! Also our server Nicole wassuper friendly polite and gracious, our glasses were never in danger of running dry.. the Bartender Lisa crafted one of the top3 best Old Fashioneds I've ever had made from Basil Hayden High Rye Bourbon...Kudos Women you rocked it! Came here for the first time and loved everything! We had the Buffalo fried deviled eggs, the brisket grilled cheese, and the... following sides: loaded baked potato salad, Mac n cheese, creamed corn, and the beans. Mac n cheese wasn't anything greater thanMac n cheese (still loved it), but everything else was on point. The potato salad was warm and tasted better than I could haveimagined. The bread pudding had to be ordered and that was the best decision ever. Service was great. Small place, yet cute, andit would be considered a whiskey lovers dream. Definitely will go back and Definitely recommend! Read more
