Great food but lacking in authenticity. Don?t get me wrong, y?all are great with the food. But the sterility of the environment... and the total restaurant environment is off. Plus y?all charge way too much. Your location near the courthouses guarantee foottraffic. There?s no reason for $20 plates, y?all are bugging for that. Charge fairly, and you?d get more people. You know you?rewrong for having prices that high. But lovely environment, I just wished it catered more to the environment it?s in rather thanthe more ?expensive? people who come out of the courthouse. It?s clear y?all are not for the community. I put 3 oxtails on my plate along with curry chicken and got charged for a oxtail meal that came up to 23.38 when it was put on... the scale.. let?s just say I would prefer to go to a Jamaican restaurant and get charged 18$ for a medium oxtail dinner.. wayover priced! And the white rice was very crunchy ?. Just recently I went in there for breakfast on a Sunday morning andwitnessed 2 ROACHES. One by the register, and another by the cold buffet station crawling on the containers we pack our foodin.. that?s a big problem hopefully they take care of it . Not big on buffet style service but I was in there before the lunch crowd and the food wasn't picked over so good stuff. I kept... it simple some veggies, fish and the honey jerk chicken. It was good. Plus I was treated so icing on the cake so to speak. ????? Read more

AVOID RUDE AND WILL NOT GIVE REFUNDS EVEN IF THE FOOD IS SPOILED OR HAS MOLD ON IT. I had a simple order beef patty and Coco... bread. When I arrived back to my workplace and opened the bread, I found a white spot in the bread. I believe this was mold inthe bread. When I called to tell them about it they asked me to bring the bread back to them. I then brought the bread back tothem. When I brought the bread back I met with Kiki, the manager. She was rude, unpleasant, and uninterested. She at first toldme I had to come back when the lunch shift was working because she did not know me. She said what do I want her to do, and Iasked for a refund. I then showed her my receipt. She became agitated and walked into the kitchen. She made me wait for about5 minutes and then came out with an even nastier attitude. She refused to give me a refund and said that was not mold and itwas my fault because I took it out of the restaurant. As my incredulity grew, I informed them that I could not guess whetherthis was mold or not while I was at work. I could not take the risk of being sick. Kiki did not care. Kiki did not want to helpme. Kiki seemed disinterested in helping me because she never saw me before even though I had a receipt. hi food lovers I'm sorry to inform you that smokey grill has been over charging you. Friday night my wife and I went to smokey... to eat around 9 pm. we went thru the trays food and pick what we like I had jerk chicken ,ribs a little rice and three smallpieces of ox tail and I mean three very small pieces. well it was time to pay upfront the bill was 78.00 dollars and I was likewow. so ask why so much. the counter lady said that they charge 12.99 a lbs for oxtail even though I only had three pieces of oxtail. the still charge for the pound I'm like wow what a rip off never again will I eat at smokey grill rip city people rip city Read more

Been coming since they open, food quality has gone down drastically to be so overpriced. Depending which chef work I feel like... my curry to pink inside, sometimes rasta pasta good sometimes its not. Also their cashiers are rude & the pregnant one is highlydisrespectful that likes to argue with customers. definitely will not return until they higher new professional staff that knowhow to run a business.There Better jamaican restaurants on 161 Read more

I should probably come earlier in the day so everything is extra fresh but overall, I was pleased. It is a pretty pricey. I... ended up paying $75 for three plates. The jerk wings was a bit over cooked but I?m not completely writing them off. Theseasoning was there and we did get nice amount of food. I didn?t finish it all but I will have to come back and try it again . Iloved loved loved the cake! I had the coconut pineapple and it was heavenly!
