Service is great, Lady at the front is so nice. Prices are a little higher than the other restaurants near by.. I?ve ordered... twice from here. 1st order was curry chicken, rice and peas and cabbage? curry chicken was good. Rice is dry, felt likesandpaper, no flavor, NOTHING? cabbage was lacking.. literally steamed with nothing to it, no salt, no pepper no flavor. Itried giving this place another shot so I went back for a 2nd time. The order was the chili wings, rice and peas and cabbage.Wings were decent, no real kick of flavor.. the rice was still flavorless (kind of like cardboard) & still with the sandpaperfeel. Cabbage still had ZERO flavor. I expected much more from this place but if they can?t get simple ish like rice andcabbage right then they need to get it together.. Best latte I've ever had. Today was the first time I went to Coffee Bay. Just happened to stumble onto it. And they. made the... best latte I've ever had. I'm actually pretty so-so on lattes. Most of them aren't much to write home about, but this one wasamazing, with just the right balance of coffee and milk. Got some really amazing coffee here. Their cold brew lemonade is unbelievable; there is a subtle coconut sweetness and a chili... spice, that combined with the tartness of the lemonade and the depth of the coffee was delicious. I would drink one every day ifI could! Read more

I got the snapper curried coconut it was soooo good and came with lots of carrots and vegetables. I ordered it with rice and... peas and the rice was perfectly cooked. Coffee Bay is a gem! I was in the Bronx this past weekend and needed somewhere to grab a quick bite and after doing a Google... search I found this black-owned restaurant. Walking in I was pleasantly surprised and immediately felt like I was visitingfriends or family at their home. There is a cool vibe of tables, couches, books and albums. The server was attentive and thechef came out to ask us what are we interested in from the menu. We ordered; Rasta pasta dishes, 1 w/jerk and 1 w/brown stew.The other order was the oxtails, rice & peas w/sweet plantains. ALL of the food was SO delicious! Absolute perfection. The rumpunch was so good. We tried the coffee lemonade which sounds like what?! Delicious and the flavors were good! The owner/chef Ithink his name is Jerry, made us feel very welcomed, relaxed and he ?put his foot? in that food! I wish I lived in the boroughbecause that would be my go to. Great food and very friendly service! We enjoyed everything we ordered and highly reccommend the escovitch chicken, bbq chicken,... and chili wings. We also tried iced coffee and lemonade for the first time which we never imagined would go together so well.Minds blown! Very glad to have stumbled across this amazing place! Read more
