We went on a Friday night, they had someone playing music and they had hookahs, we went to have dinner wasn't expecting that.... Nice chill spot but the music was too loud for us to talk.. My drink taste like it had no alcohol in it, just Kool aid, and I'mnot even a drinker.. LOL.. I did enjoy my food, I had fish mac and cheese and yams. The staff is very nice as well.. cool forjust hanging out and enjoying some music, but not the place on Friday night if you trying to go chill and conversate with yourbae.. LOL. First time here. Was excited for a new restaurant in our area. The boudin balls were cold. When they brought out new ones they... were lacking flavor.. The gumbo was ok. Could have been a better roux. It was light, flavorless, I've had better. The shrimpwere small for the price. The hushpuppies were cold. Pricey! Don't waste your money if you want good food! Ordered many items my one and only visit to get an idea of the taste. Meatloaf was just a ball of hamburger meat wrapped in... bacon, very dry. Pork chops were decent but the gravy was extra salty, too much salt. The mashed potatoes were cold while themustard greens were scalding hot. Boudin didn?t have any flavor. Gumbo was cold. Waitstaff was inattentive but when the bill wasdue she lingered at our table until we paid. I don?t know how they stay in business at that price and low quality. Our first time here. Great restaurant atmosphere. Staff really friendly. We ordered cat fish po boy sandwich, blackend/fried... catfish creole. Sandwich great Cajun flavors, catfish plate the dirty rice , creole sauce slightly salty (for my taste), stillate most of it. Sydney our server was awesome! Very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Going back to taste more food itemsand enjoy the specials they advertise. They were having a poetry night, but we couldn't stay.
