This is a awesome place with absolutely beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately our service was very bad. We sat outside and the... bartender told us she would be glad to provide table service, but never came to take our order. We went to the bar to order andfound the bartender doing nothing and there was another bartender that had arrived who was also doing nothing. Great place gooddrinks and apps, but their service needs work. Read more

After checking in to the RV park, we decided to eat here. Reviews were decent. We have our 13 year old dog with us so we have... to sit at certain tables outside, that are "self-serve." Had to go in and leave my CC at the bar. Even though we're guests atthe resort. The guys behind the bar were not super friendly nor were they welcoming. I had questions since it was our firsttime, which I told him. He didnt say thanks for coming in or even bother to ask where we were from. Ordered the chickenfajitas and the chicken fried steak. What a Supreme disappointment. The fajitas came out semi cold and a child size portion($29). My husband liked the chicken fried steak. Don't waste your time or money. Nothing like going to a new place and feelingunwelcome and getting subpar, expensive food. Read more

We had an amazing lunch stop passing through here! It's a great place to go before taking on the scenic drive on 170 to... Presidio. We got a salad and a "Hot Brown" and both were awesome and fairly priced, given how nice the ambience is. Service wasalso excellent. Read more

Food had a great flavor and was a large portion. The honey mustard was a great addition to my sandwich and was refreshing on a... hot summer day. The bartender and server were both friendly and willing to assist with any questions about drinks or food. Youdo not have to be staying in one of their rooms to eat/drink here before 5pm. After 5pm, only those staying in one of theirrooms may be in the Thirsty Goat. Read more

The Thirsty Goat serves good craft beer! The chips and salsa were very tasty! The ambiance is fabulous and the painting behind... the bar will delight many, tho there are some that might worry she will get desert sand in interesting places... The grounds arelovely and we would have sat outside on a more agreeable weather day. But the price is absurd. We opted for beers and chips, skipped the $19 burgers and made a pizza at home in the RV. It is most definitely a resort community. Read more

After a long day of hiking in Big Bend, we headed to The Thirsty Goat for a drink. My husband and I each had a frozen margarita... which was very good. The saloon is a few miles down the road from Terlingua, at Lajitas. There are large screen tvs and livemusic sometimes. The bartenders were very friendly. After finishing our drink, we we went outside and found an open air seatingarea with outdoor games. We were surprised at how pretty the area is. There are great views of the mountains, golf course, andlots of beautiful desert plants and flowers. Read more

This place is worth visiting for the lovely painting of the nude lady behind the bar alone. Beautifully appointed, lots of big,... rich wood furniture and adornments like chandeliers and brass. Drinks are definitely on the expensive side, but you are payingfor the location and the atmosphere. Food menu is available at the bar from the Candelilla Restaurant next door, with brunch onSundays, but that's available seasonally. A nice place to eat once you have already been to all of the few places to dine inTerlingua. Pro tip: Order a Sotol Ranch Water and forget you ever heard about Tequila. Read more
