Fun spot for the family, underwhelming food. This place may look like the one, but unfortunately it isn't. The vibes of the... place is nice, there's a lot of fun for the family, as well as friendly staff. Food however did not meet expectations for arestaurant with such enormous wait times. Our favorite dish were the brussel sprouts, and every other dish seemed to be missingsome key ingredient. Another huge oversight is the lack of bathrooms. The only 'bathroom' to service both the restaurant andcantina are 2 outhouse on the side, both with lines as long as the table wait list. With a lot of alcohol being served, havingonly 1 serviceable outhouse is not only a logistical nightmare, but highly unsanitary. While this restaurant has a rich historywith many ups and downs, modernizing on amenities such as bathrooms would be a huge step in the better direction. Read more
Our large group had a reservation. Otherwise, there were folks waiting for tables for a long time. Well worth the wait! There... was an excellent band. The service was superb. I highly recommend eating here. Read more
Awesome atmosphere. Took the family to eat and everything was spectacular. From the service to the food was more than 5 stars.... My kids loved the live band playing. The wait was ok do to the only best restaurant in town so get there early. You can feelthe history and souls to this theater. Read more
Worth the hype and lives up to its reputation. Excellent food, generous portions, fair prices and incredibly friendly staff. ... Highly recommend the Chicken Sandwich. There is a massive gift shop next door, called the Terlingua Trading Company. Definitelyplan to check it out too. Read more
Long wait for dinner, but well worth it! It's such a quaint establishment with such an interesting history. It's also right next... to a little bar area, with a haunted hotel and some shops, so you'll have plenty to do when you're waiting. The salsa is amust-try! They make it in house and it's absolutely delicious. We also had the vegan chipotle pork and the antelope meat andboth were superb. Definitely the best dining experience we had in West Texas! The place was packed during our visit and when I mean packed they have 1-2hrs wait so ensure yo go here at 5/6pm to get a place.... This restaurant is one of the famous one in Terlingua, TX. While waiting you can order snack and alcohol and stay in theiroutside sitting area. They have band playing as well every night. The place was so cool that I feel different from other Texascity or town. The host in the front who does all the organizing of the people in line, she was acing it! Very accommodating andapproaching too. I am giving 3 stars because of the food and server. We ordered Queso brisket and that was really good! Whilethe Cheese Burger was lacking of taste and dry - the patty and bacon was overcooked too, the fries was good tho. The porkmedallion was like a barbacoa taste and the only difference was the meat is sliced - the veggy was good and the rice was dry,there?s a kick so it was nice (depends on your tolerance). Server was nice and approachable but charged us a drinks that we didnot order. She?s not organized that night as the table besides us was also have mixing check and receipts to pay and sign. Wehope she?s okay - but this situation must not happen luckily we were able to check through again our check before we left therestaurant. Enjoyed my time here with family and friends, the live band was a delight. The brisket was a bit dry, but I enjoyed the rest of... the meal. I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand, waited an hour for a large group of people. There is outdoorseating with heaters, still pretty chilly though outside during the winter season. Restrooms are located outside aswell. Overall, enjoyed my visit here! Would recommend to others. Read more
Probably the most popular restaurant in town, people start lining up at 4pm on busy nights. We got there a little after 4 on... Thanksgiving and were close to the front, got seated around 5:30pm. Food was amazing, really enjoyed the chicken friedantelope, seitan tacos and 3 meat plate. Everything was cooked really well, flavorful, especially impressed by the steak beingthe perfect medium rare and seared on the outside. Portions were large. Food tends to be under-salted. Fun vibes with lovelydeco and live band every night. We thought about coming back on other nights during our stay in Terlingua because we loved thefood, but the wait was too long. I feel that this place could really benefit from better organization. Even after taking eachparty's name and number in advance, it was very slow getting everyone seated once the door opened. It took almost an hour untilall the tables were full. Heard 1-2 hour wait is typical, but feel like it doesn't have to be that way. It's the only reason Iam giving 4 stars instead of 5. Would love to come back, but hope that the seating management is addressed so that more peoplecan experience this place:) Read more
