Reviews for Aliyah’s Kitchen and Grill in Templeton, CA
The food is good, but nothing to get excited about. However, they don?t serve drinks (you have to go to the market next door),... the outside dining area was covered in flies, and it was pricier than most taquerias. We unfortunately didn?t share the ravereviews which lured us in. Maybe it was just an off day? Read more
Best food EVER. I have been all over Ca for Mexican food and this food is the best. All of their meats are seasoned perfectly... and the salsas were insanely flavorful. The service was is so welcoming. Great spot and very lucky to live so close to it!!! Read more
This hands down the best Mexican restaurant on the Central Coast. They have the best Lengua. Making Lengua that is absolutely... delicious and so flavorful is an art, and they are masters. Their Lengua is definitely in the Top 5 of all Mexican restaurantsin California. Their salsas are really good too, the avocado salsa is nice with the Lengua, and the red salsa that has a littleheat to it pairs really well with their Carnitas. The burritos are enough food for 1-2 meals depending on how hungry you are. Read more
The food is decent. Price is somewhere between average and high. $35 for three tacos, beans and rice and a burrito, chips and... salsa, no drinks. They have all the good authentic menu options. There's no indoor seating; there are only tables under anawning next to the order window or picnic tables under a few umbrellas next to the parking lot which is adjacent to the othereating area. I recommend the place for takeout, but not dine in. In part because there are no drinks, at all. They'll send youto the store next door down to buy a drink. I'm hopeful this is just growing pains as it's not a sustainable way to bring incustomers. The other reason is because we are in a really dry region and the ants in the summer are looking for water, sadlythere are various potted flowers next to the picnic tables - which sounds nice - except that the table was scaling with ants. Ihad them on my arms and legs while eating and it was enough to kill my appetite. I''ll give it some time and try Aliyah's outagain at some point since they have otherwise raving reviews and I would really like to try the pozole next time. Read more
What a great find this was. We were traveling to my son's college when we got hungry. This came up in a search, and we had to... drive 5-10 minutes inland to downtown (and very charming) Templeton CA. It was worth the drive! I had the ceviche and tacosand my son had a burrito. Once I added lime, the ceviche was just about perfect: spicy, sharp and fresh. Very generousportions (sorry I forgot to take pictures BEFORE I started eating) the tacos had a wonderfully light dusting of cumin andsomething else I could not identify but was a unique experience. If traveling Hwy 101 in Central CA, take the extra few minutesto eat here, it's worth the drive. Read more
The shrimp and salmon tacos were super fresh and colorful! The chili verde was also quite good and juicy. The service was also... incredible. I'm glad we came before the lunch rush because it did get quite busy, but food seemed to come out of the kitchenquickly. They have a really nice outdoor patio area as well as covered seating. The red and green sauce served on the side was areally nice touch. Highly highly recommend this place if you are passing through the area! Read more
Fresh and tastes really good. Love the green salsa that comes with it. We also love the pozole we ordered but no more pictures... taken cause we were busy eating. Every taco tasted fresh. We had chile verde, carne asada, lengua and salmon. We will go back! Read more
Absolutely incredible. No frills, just amazing tacos. If needing to get your drinks next door is a deal-breaker for you, maybe... this isn't your style. If you're cool with a hole-in-the-wall, you won't find a better meal on the central coast. Read more
