Reviews for Sardi's Pollo A La Brasa - Temple Hills in Temple Hills, MD
The quality of the food has gone down significantly since I started eating here (Central Ave location) almost 10 years ago. The... portions are smaller and the food lacks the flavor it once had. Very disappointing was the salsa Verde. I believe it used to bemade in house and was spicy and bright green from actual jalapeños. Now it just tastes like mayonnaise. Don't think I'll orderagain. This is one of very few places you can receive a healthy meal in the Temple Hills, MD area. I have not been disappointed since... going here for 3 years. The salmon, shrimp, steak, chicken, choice veggies are worth the price, and tasty. Read more
Ordered the Phil's lamb chop special it normally comes with 5 lamb chops this time I only got 3 lamb chops and they were burnt.... The fried rice had big chunks of onions in it everything wasn't cooked like they normally cooked the food I was very displeasedbecause my meal cost $30 dollars and I shouldn't have received no burnt damn lamb chops and not prepared correctly fried rice.Thank God my plantains were okay. Didn't have a pretty good experience this time around. The guy who was supposed to have been taking our order apparently was... preparing a large order for a customer who was not there so we waited in line for almost 10 minutes with at least eight peoplein line until someone else came up to service us. He heard everyone in line complaining and he looked up at us with with noacknowledgment and kept preparing the other order. My opinion is he should have at least greeted us and told us it would be await and also you serve the people in front of you first. I visit this restaurant often when I'm in town and this time I wentabout 12 noon when they first opened and the rice was extremely and hard and the brussel sprouts were all dried out! I'm notsure if they reheated food from the night before but this is unacceptable and I'm not sure I will be revisiting this locationagain, in the future I'll go to the Glen Burnie location. Read more
The food here is absolutely delicious! Flavor is great! Customer service is great! I have no complaints. The only thing I have... to complain about is that I don't live closer! I got the 3 piece dark meat, with Peruvian rice and the veggie mix (carrots,Brussel sprouts and broccoli! I definitely will be coming back! Read more
I just left there after standing in line, along with 4 other people, longer than we should have. Whatever system you're using... to manage your customer flow and match it with the orders, it does not work. There was confusion at the registers. There were2 cashiers; one of whom could only take cash. The other one was sipping a drink of something in a cup while ringing incustomers, while other customers, including me, were waiting to be checked out. "is this your food?" while pointing/waving herhand towards an open plate of food. I'm glad it wasn't given she was handling credit cards, cash and sipping on a drink ofsomething in a cup. Where was a supervisor or manager? When my food finally arrived, an employee, who appeared to be tryingto manage the food line, apologized. Beyond the chaotic service experience, my chicken gyro looked like someone literally threwit together. This is not "thinly sliced chicken." It was tasteless and I wound up throwing it away. Having trouble uploadingthe photos but there were CHUNKS of chicken in the gyro. I and my family have had consistently better experiences with serviceand food at the Oxon Hill location. We've tried to support this one but this is it for me. Read more
Thankfully the food is better than their ability to spell. I have become absolutely addicted to the chicken, mashed potatoes,... and brussel sprouts. However, unlike what's stated on the menu and website, the chicken does not come from Purdue farms. AsPurdue University (in Indiana) is my alma mater I can say conclusive we don't grow chickens. I am quite certain Sardis isclaiming their chickens come from Perdue farms (Maryland). Ijs. Either way am in love with Sardis. ???? Read more
