Hidden Gem of Tempe! Absolutely inviting atmosphere filled with modern music, amazing drink selection and televised sporting... events. When I pulled to the area I couldn?t see the building at first. I thought that maybe this place didn?t exist or waspossibly shut down?IT EXISTS! Just tucked into a small nook! The Hudson has a great indoor/outdoor bar and seating areas thatare tended to by a laid back, yet attentive, staff. Bartenders there can mix up drinks with the best of ?em! So lucky to have stumbled upon this gem today! You can't miss this place, what with its very distinct design outside (and mist... for the hot weather today). You are greeted with very unique interiors that somewhat felt like home (even the restrooms were funand quirky!). The folks are very pleasant and helpful, which made the visit 100x better. We had the wings (mild rub), and theBoom Boom burger with mushrooms. Both were good, and serving size just right. For drinks, we had the Prickly Pom Cider andPumpkin Porter. Both drinks were refreshing, and did not have that usual beer aftertaste. What stood out, though, was the ChonkBanana Split Beer. Yes, BEER. It is so good, you will probably plan to come back just to be able to order that drink again. Allin all, it was a great first visit, and will definitely come back to try out their other stuff. The fries are five stars. They?re perfectly cooked and seasoned. The loaded fries look amazing. The sandwiches are big and... tasty. A ton of beer options, a great bourbon collection, misters for the outside patio and right off light rail. Super staff.Can?t wait to go back. Read more
I had the boom boom burger with a side of onion rings and omg it was absolutely delicious. Definitely on my top 5 list of best... burgers I?ve ever had. Heck, it?s probably number one or two two. The onion rings are indescribable. It has such a nice crunchand flavor. And the onion doesn?t slip out when eating it. By far the best onion rings I ever had in my life. Even my boyfriendwho hates thick onion rings was in love. He had the hot chicken sandwich with a side of fries and he was enthralled. Warning-they don?t mess around with their spice so order with caution. It wasn?t too spicy to eat, but probably would be for those whocan?t handle spice. It is a bit on the pricier side (still not too terrible), but you get what you pay for. It was worth everypenny and we will definitely be back. As many others have said, it truly is a hidden gem. Oh my God. I had no idea I was sitting on this gem so close to me ! Selection of Alcohol is impressive to say the least . I... had a great sour beer from the great divide called Margarita Gose mind blowing crisp and delicious . Then the food was evenbetter . I got the pastrami , the bread had a fantastic pan fry to it that was deep and golden the pastrami was thick stackedand dripping in flavor . .It came with fry?s but I didn?t want any . Hidden gem for craft beer heads! ???????? Wow! Super impressed with this little spot. Huge selection of craft draft brew and... good liquors for this small spot. The menu was small but the burger was fantastic. They have a small outside bar and a largerone with bigger tables. The spot has a huge window in the front where the small bar area is so it?s like open air dining whichis great for AZ. Took my puppy with me and he was welcome, always a plus. Asked my server Hayden to surprise me with some beerssince the selection made it tough to choose. So good! Great selection of whiskey, beer, and other beverages! Burgers were better than advertised and the mac n cheese was a... million times better than most kid options!
