One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the valley. They have happy hour from 3-6 Monday through Friday. They even have drink... specials on Saturdays. I come mostly for their amazing Bean Dip in which they are famous for. They even have it to go and thechips are included. Read more

We used to visit Serrano?s back in 2007/2008 when the location was Dobson/Guadalupe. We haven?t been there in a long time, and... decided to go to the location at Rural/Guadalupe. It was very disappointing. It looked like the entire staff (or at least theones in the dining area) were all under 21, and very inexperienced at being servers and/or customer service. Our server had hername tag on upside down, and that was about how our visit went. My husband asked about a menu item that he used to enjoy, andshe it was only served during lunch. It is something that would have been very easy to prepare, unless everything on the dinnermenu is pre-made, and in my opinion, a good server would, at the very least, say ?That?s typically only served at lunch, but letme see what I can do.? That way, even if the answer is no, she looks like a hero for even asking if we could get a dishcustomized. It just sort of snowballed from there with missed opportunities to show us that even if Serrano?s is no longer inits prime, at least the service could be great. Regarding the food, it just seems average at best now. I had the steak/chickenfajitas, and they tasted like a TV dinner version, sadly. I thought the sangria would at least be good, but it was way toostrong for a sangria, and I had to water it down. Read more

Good Mexican food in this small, local chain. Bean dip is served the chips for every table, and they have a good variety of... Mexican staples, including some seafood. Read more

We came in to enjoy some authentic Mexican food. The queen had made the executive decision for Mexican and I agreed and stated... let?s do Serrano?s as it?s right down the street from where she lives. We were certainly not disappointed! Our arrival timewas 815p with no reservations. Being that it was a Monday, we both understood that this place would be closing soon (9p). Thehost realized our hesitation of not wanting to bother them right before they closed but he shot that down real quick with?nonsense, please have a seat and we?ll take real good care of you!? We chose to sit at the bar and Manual was tending it. Inoticed before we sat that he was already doing his nightly closing down routine (which I have no problem with. Even servingstaff like him have families to go home too) but he never hesitated to help us and I appreciate him more than he knows for notrushing us. Little did he know that we were of industry and we were gonna rush ourselves. We left at 905p. We were quick anddecisive with our order. I got the Del Mar platter which was moderate, unfortunately it did not wow me. She had the machacaquesadillas plate. (Both pictured below). The service was friendly and quick! Thank you Manuel and staff for the coolexperience. PRO TIP: the margarita was too sweet for my taste but that?s just what you get with a marg. As a resolution, tryrequesting for your bartender/server top it off with one of their three handles of draft beer. I chose the DOS xx Amber.Sooooooo tasty! Read more
