Reviews for I Heart Mac & Cheese in Tempe, AZ
Very cute place, super filling food music playing and the workers immediately greeted me and my boyfriend and asked what we... would like. Huge portions, only 4 stars because my boyfriend did not like his broccoli and cheese, the Mac and sandwiches aredelicious though! Read more
Agree with others that this place was disappointing. The macaroni and cheese was very sub par and the cheese that they pour over... the noodles was too liquidy. The mac bites were dry. Reminded me of eating pasta at a dining hall in college. However, theascetic is cute! The food comes in a heart shaped bowl. Okay one time experience, wouldn?t go back. Read more
Ok so first time having there food but when uber eats arrived at work with the food I was super excited to try while working at... Amazon . Especially the lobster Mac and cheese and the I think it was called the ultimate blt with tators. And of course thecheese cake bites. For 31 dollars I thought the lobster Mac and cheese and the extras I added were going to be amazing. I wastruly disappointed. The lobster is so crumbled and miniscule that no taste. You can only smell it. Like 2 cherry tomatos I paidfor corn ???? and scallions plus grilled onions and extra cheese to be added when I say there were like nothing I was so upsetyesterday I didn't eat it I put it in the fridge until today I just started eating it and can't taste anything only smell it.The grilled cheese with bacon etc. Very thin taters were soggy and smashed. The cheesecake bites I thought said 4 but that mighthave been my mistake they say strawberry sauce pure sugar liquid they don't even fill the cups up. And after 54 or 59 dollars Iasked for lots of ketchup and honey mustard please and extra container cause I was at work. Nothing not one ketchup no plate orcontainer. 31 dollars for lobster Mac and cheese so tiny no taste. Very small portion to. I had to add a bunch of ketchup on itto be edible now. How do u serve taters and when asking for ketchup u send none. I see that also they only reply to the positivereviews not the negative. Read more
This place was a big disappointment. The service was very good but the food is definitely lacking. I had the veggie mac and... cheese. It didn't have much flavor and the Mac and cheese was subpar. The ice tea was disgusting. The cookies were like grocerystore cookies. Read more
I wanted to love this place but the mistake they made today was ridiculous. I purchased a meal with cheesecake bites for my... side. When I tried biting into the first one it was frozen solid. I let them know about it and they apologized, they explainedthat they should be cold but assumed they must not have been removed from the freezer early enough. They offered to swap for anew side but I decided I?d let the bites thaw so I could eat them after a little while. When I got home they felt soft enough soI dipped one in the chocolate sauce they gave me. The taste confused me, the chocolate sauce was sweet but the bite was not. Ididn?t notice anything but breading inside of the bite, nothing about it was like cheesecake. Upon further investigation I sawwhat looked like a noodle. Out of curiosity I put what I had remaining in the microwave and noticed what had happened. My?cheesecake? bites were frozen Mac and cheese bites. What a horrible experience. I ate a bite of cold Mac and cheese withbreading dipped in chocolate. I?m giving them 2 stars because the buffalo chicken Mac n cheese was good, but they don?t havesweetener for their tea, and they may serve you frozen Mac and cheese bites with chocolate dipping sauce. I recommend trying ?? the best of both worlds! If you love sour dough bread like me, grilled cheese, Mac n cheese, short rib and... BBQ all mixed together... THEN EAT THIS ???? They are also offering a 20% discount for all nurses:) Pros- I truly enjoyedeating here, the meals are good size, the Mac n cheese is flavorful and you have the option to add more melted saucy cheese ifyou?re like me and enjoy cream Mac! You can up to 6 other cheeses/flavors on your Mac n cheese. The meat is good quality andtasty. The bread was perfect size, thickness, and taste. The bowls are decent size. Cons- a tiny bit over priced. Could haveadded a little more rib meat. The tater tots weren?t very good, maybe lacking salt? Overall I def go back! Especially knowing Ican add more cheese to whatever I make! Who doesn?t love that! Read more
Short version: if I could give half stars, I would have chosen 2-1/2. My meal had slightly more flavor than my sisters (she was... singularly unimpressed w/ hers). Neither of us have even a small spark of interest in returning. Longer version: I don't enjoyrating 3-stars or less but I cannot in good conscience rate higher. We stopped in last night as a last-minute decision. Firstthing we eyed was the large parking lot with plenty of spaces; followed by the long, shared patio (there are two otherrestaurants in the building); and walking inside was a brightly lit, and colorful environment. Empty of people. But being theholiday weekend, that's no surprise. The menu is fairly extensive & building your own bowl has quite a few options, could takesome time trying to decide what works well together. The music in the background was good ol' 80s tunes but was rather loud, making it difficult to hear the young gentleman behind the counter. They have Coke products, so that was a win! We placed ourorders, sat at a high top, & the guy brought our orders to the table. Unfortunately, it only took three bites from my sistersplate (sammich, tots, bacon jalapeno bites) and two of mine (build your own bow, tots) to determine everything was rathertasteless. there was no seasoning to the tots (I didn't even taste salt), they were not crispy (not soggy, either, but closer tosog than crisp). I dipped my tots in the cheese sauce they gave my sister & that sauce looked and tasted like watered down, melted cheese. Bleck! I eventually asked for a small dipping container of the sesame ginger dressing but that did not help thetots as I had hoped. Not being wasteful people, and hoping we could stomach the leftovers later, we did not toss the food inthe trash but opted to bring it home. With any luck, adding some seasonings (I even suggested movie popcorn seasonings!) willsalvage the remaining food ... we both only ate about half of our meals. So, although a disappointment, it was n Read more
