Reviews for Chen's Noodle House in Tempe, AZ
3.5 stars! The food taste good! Surprisingly it’s good. We loved the bbq on the sticks, and veggies are good. Even it’s a... little pricy but the quality is very good. Would like to come back try new dishes. Read more

Really wanted some noodles so we came here. I ordered the chefs choice, beef spicy noodle soup. The spicy beef noodle soup was... very good, I could have done without so much szechuan pepper numbing my mouth and lips though. I guess that is were the 'spicy'comes into play. The soup itself kept a very good high temperature point to the end of our dining in. It was still steaming hotwhen I was puting it into my to-go container. We also had the chicken fried rice and Kung pao chicken. I believe who ever itwas in the kitchen cooking had a heavy hand on some salt or msg! My mouth was craving water with every bite I took of bothdishes. Flavor was good, just a bit too salty for my taste. Overall, it was okay. Would I come back here again? Yeah. Maybe. Itjust wouldn't be my first choice if I had craved noodles again. Read more
I think this place is overrated …. Wonton soup : the wonton doesn’t taste good, the pork doesn’t taste like to be having... a good quality. The soup is also quite salty. Chongqing spicy noodle : the flavor is good, but noodles are too soggy. Beefbrisket casserole : it taste quite salty, has to eat with rice. Read more
Had a late evening cravings for a noodle soup. The restaurant is kept clean- no sticky table, menus or sauce bottles. Rice... noodle soup with spicy beef has just a touch of heat, nothing unbearable. However, you do not want to bite into one of thepepper bits or seeds in the broth because it will burn you. The noodles were kinda soft and easy to swallow. It’s like phonoodles but a bit softer and thicker and round. Now, the pork skewer was where the money is at. It packs quite a bit of heat, and it is salty. In other words, it would be perfect with beer or soda. I highly recommend to try the skewers. One easy way toorder is to get the items with a little star marked on the menu: chef recommendation. Hand to god one of the best chinese restaurants I have been to in years. They have amazing classic american-chinese stuff like... kung pao chicken, hot & sour soup, mapo tofu, and I haven't tried their bbq or noodle soups but they look pretty promising.Their vegetarian menu is pretty diverse too and the stir fry eggplant dish is addictive! I got the homestyle tofu here thistime, and I cleaned the plate. Go here if you are sick of the same bland chinese food that tastes the same everywhere else, youwill not be disappointed. Read more
