If you are planning to go for Thanksgiving . . . I highly recommend making other plans. Service was horrible (it wasn't even... crowded at 1:00 pm) and the food was even worse! We've been there on several other Thanksgivings and never experienced this!AND, we were not alone! The two families in front of us trying to pay for these God awful meals had the same unacceptableexperience! DON'T DO IT! . . . Unless you want your Thanksgiving ruined! Edit: I emailed a long explanation (on Thanksgiving)to whomever replied to my review . . . Have not heard a thing back (yet). Read more

Maybe we were just visited on an unlucky day with our two babies (9 month old and 1.5 year old). We were greeted by a kind... hostess who showed us to our seats. Unfortunately after a few minutes we realize no one was going to offer a booster or highchair for our babies to join us at the table. We were forced to find one ourselves. Personally this wasn?t a big deal as theyusually Cater to an older crowd and it may have slipped their mind that families with babies need high chairs or boosterseats. The greatest reason for my review is the server and the food for today. For starters we orders the soup of the day.Forgive my ignorance but I was under the impression that soup of the day meant the kitchen made this soup fresh for the day.Unfortunately, we received a cold chicken tortilla soup. When we brought this to the attention of the server we were informedthat the soup is pre processed so the chicken didn?t need to be heated up to the 165. I was shocked but decided to just move on.When ordering a scramble the menu states to choose a side then choose your omelette or scramble. After choosing my side I theninform the server I would like the scramBOWL. I was then informed the side I choose (hash brown) must replace the red potatoes. However that is not what the menu states. So I choose to substitute as required by my server. I was excited to try the Europeanbutter blend that was stated to be served with the English muffin. When my food arrived I found that the hashbrowns were not agood substitute for the red potatoes because there was more crust than potatoes and the English muffin was served with justregular butter. When I asked the server about the European butter she pretended it didn?t exist and said multiple times thebutter I received was the only butter. I then showed her on the menu where it states European butter blend and that?s when sheremembered that they do actually have that butter but it would require her to spread the butter before bringing it Read more

My husband and I enjoy having a meal at Black Bear Diner, but this visit was extremely disappointing. My husband ordered the... prime rib dinner. He asked for horseradish. They didn?t have any. His salad was brought at the same time as his dinner. Primerib was tough. I ordered the blackberry burn bbq ribs. When I order ribs, I expect them to come off the bone somewhat easily.Even with a knife, it was difficult to cut through the ribs. I ordered a corn muffin (not included in my meal) it was brought tome cold. Not warm, not lukewarm, cold! It had black stuff on it. Not sure what it is, but not appetizing at all. Service not sogood. I don?t like to give bad reviews, but this dinner experience was one of the worst I?ve had. Black Bear Diner you arebetter than this? Read more

The service here was really good. I liked the interaction from the server. She did a really good job accommodating everyone. The... reason for the average rating though, is the food. Although it wasn't bad, it wasn't really memorable. I wasn't wowed. Itwouldn't be my first choice to eat again, but not my last either. Read more
