Friendly staff & bright colors are welcoming for Mexican lunch or dinner at the Tempe neighborhood Anaya?s. Portions are large,... food is delicious, fresh. Great value for the prices. Tortilla soup here is rich tomato broth, large tender bite-size chickenpieces, steaming hot. Anaya?s gives you 3x soup for same price as yesterday?s green chili chicken chowder at another place. Your friendly neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Phoenix struggles with many, fair Mexican food restaurants and Anaya's is the... best around (I've been to 17/32 states in Mexico for good measure). The have a diverse menu, sizable portions, specials, a funatmosphere and extremely pleasant staff. The salsa is outstanding and their green chili pork and shredded chicken is delicious. Read more

In my continuing search for the best Menudo, I ended up at Anaya's Mexican Restaurant today. Love the decor... booths, tables,... paintings, & colors. Service is top notch. Although I've been to Anaya's many times, this was my first time for theirMenudo... it was tasty! Broth was dark red... tripa was plentiful and just the right texture... & they didn't cheat me on 'my'hominy. Served with 3 small flour tortillas... diced white onions, chopped cilantro, Mexican Oregano, & small hot red chiles. I was very pleased with this dish... would rate it #2 on my ratings list! First time here, and I am thoroughly impressed. Clean, decently priced, and customer service was amazing. Anaya?s opened up right before the pandemic hit, and I?m happy to report they made it through! My family and I went for the... first time last weekend and were pleased with the service and food. Wait staff is friendly and welcoming. Rice and beans isdelicious. Polo Fundido is fantastic. Their mild salsa they bring out with their chips is really, really good!!!! Oh yeah, andtheir horchata was on point. The shredded beef taco was lacking a little flavor, but it won?t deter me from going back. Happy tosupport local! Read more

I gave them 1 star because they don?t have ?authentic ? in their name which is true they are not and 1 Star because the decor is... cute inside The food was bland the two bites I took The rice was a day old ay least the beans dry and they couldn?t make myorder w Mexican cheese instead of Jack without charging me extra?I specifically asked if the chicken was simply shredded n lightseasoned w the mole enchiladas and they said yes comes my order and the chicken is fully mixed with sauce, veggies and?lettuce!?
