We were very fortunate to find this place on the way back home from Oceanside. It happened to be Chef Pietro's Birthday and he... personally seated us and gave us each a glass of champagne to help him celebrate. Our server; Tanya, was amazing! We started offwith the mussels and clams appetizer - WOWZA! I have to admit, we were plenty full with just the appetizer alone between twopeople. But we had to try out a couple of Tanya's (server) suggestions for our main dish - lasagna con ragu e prosciutto cottoand the pappardelle con funghi. Now if you LOVE the taste of mushrooms as much as I do, the pappardelle is a MUST HAVE. Theservings do not leave you wanting here. Everything is made fresh on-site... Yes, the pasta as well. It makes all the differencein the world! I am sensitive to gluten, and had zero problems eating the bread or pasta. We will definitely be back... and withmore people to share the deliciousness with! Friendly welcome for dinner with bread and olive oil and vinaigrette. The house Chianti was decent. We sat outdoors and the... weather was perfect but the mosquitos were not so we moved indoor to the bar. Preston was our waiter. He was pleasant but notas attentive as we hoped. Service overall was very good. The bartender was fun and friendly. The chef even came out to ourtable to make a suggestion and prepared us an off menu sea bass and red sauce with capers and veggies plate which was incrediblyflavorful. All menu items including the dessert we ordered were delicious. Although it was not an event during our visit, wewere informed by the bartender that live musicians perform towards the weekends. Visited for the first time in months and wishing I had come sooner! Everything is always on point here- the food is freshly... made, tastes great & served hot, and the service is immaculate. Everyone is friendly and always has a smile on their face. Makesure to ask if the owner whipped anything up when you go - we managed to come on a night he crafted some pizza/calzone splitinto 3parts with unique toppings stuffed in each, it was great. Our usuals include seafood risotto and a couple orders ofravioli, which are handmade and perfect. We also did the osso buco, cioppino, and bucatini - all of these are now instantfavorites as well.
