Reviews for Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Temecula, CA
This place use to be REALLY GOOD! Not no more. All their Brisket is loaded with fat. The Chicken is dry. And do not Door Dash... from them. They will destroy your order, no BBQ Sauce, Utensils, and crammed in a bag. Very disappointing. For 103.00 you wouldexpect good food, a correct order, and some respect for your customer spending hard earned money. Go to Lucille?s. They havebeen around a long time and have not changed. Read more

Both Google and the company website says they are open until 9pm. I went in at 8:30pm one night and was told they were already... closed and that they close the kitchen at 8:30. Considering the entire place was cleaned up and the kitchen was obviouslycleaned and closed well before 8:30 pm is it very disappointing to falsely advertise hours and leave the business open so peopledrive long distances to get food well before they say they close. It is fine if you close earlier but turn off your lights, close and lock your doors and update your closing times on your website and Google so people aren't mislead when looking forplaces to eat at that time of night. I used to enjoy going to Dickeys bbq, until the pandemic hit and they took away the ice cream machine. It's been a while since... my last visit and I see why. The meat was very dry. Usually the chicken is juicy but not this time. Read more
I purchased a to go order and it was definitely not worth the $30 I paid. Pork ribs were not good, potatoes were very plain and... the original sauce was not good. The corn bread was disappointing, not to mention the prepackaged brownie and cookie. Had Iknown they would be prepackaged I would have never have ordered them and to charge $4.50 each for them is a rip off. This was adisappointing meal. Read more
Ordered takeout. When I lifted the bag off the counter and felt how light it was for $20 of food, I began to have doubts. Then,... I got home and saw that the "caesar salad" could literally fit in the palm of my hand with room to spare. I showed my buddy andwe got a good laugh at it. At that point I was almost certain I was going to have to leave a negative review. Lucky forDickey's, the food was remarkably good; good enough to stave off a bad review. The meat was absolutely delicious, and the BBQsauces were awesome. Service was ok. Building was uncomfortably warm as we waited for our food... Almost like the AC was notrunning at all. A huge inconvenience at this location is the lack of pictures of the food/entrees. I mean it's not thatextensive a menu, show pictures so people get an idea of how items are prepared, and their quantity so people know what, and howmuch, to order. Very inconvenient on a first visit; you feel like you're ordering in the dark. The final gripe is therelationship of price with quantity. Yes the food is good, but for $20 I shouldn't still be hungry afterward. In conclusion,I'll probably be back. If the meal were less expensive for the quantity, I'd definitely be back. Read more

If it's been a while since you've tried Dickey's, you need to make a trip back. They are now under new management and the food... is so much fresher and the meat so much more juicy. Talked to the new owners and they are cooking their meat as it's needed. Nolonger the night before which led to the meats being incredibly dry. Read more
