Fun ambiance and good service. The summer greens salad was very good as a shared appetizer! The bison tenderloin was excellent,... cooked well (crispy on the outside and tender on the inside ????), but could have used more side food. The spaghetti squash wastasty- a salad and squash mix! Read more

We had an ugly experience at Black Iron Kitchen last night. We arrived for an early dinner, no-one else in the restaurant so... being busy is no excuse. We considered ordering a shared beef meal however the waiter became patronising when I asked for themeat to be cooked ‘medium well’. “Madam, it is dry aged beef...” he began so we quickly changed our minds and orderedindividual meals. I had the baked spaghetti squash that arrived under a flurry of lettuce leaves and my husband ordered theindividual serving of elk which was $50. I put my credit card on the table when we'd finished and the waiter quickly took itaway and brought it back with the bill ... payment already processed. I didn't take too much notice and signed but my husbandnoticed the total and questioned it. We'd been charged $160 for his $50 elk. The waiter quickly disappeared and his supervisorin black suit arrived to tell us it was our fault. "Didn't you notice that you had the large meal" he said. How could wenotice a difference in size without seeing a comparison? We'd never dined there before. My husband replied with "Are youblaming us for this oversight? I ordered the elk and if there were two price points for elk the waiter should have clarified"and black suit man then began negotiating a refund of the difference stating that he couldn't refund the whole difference. Itwas awkward, embarrassing and we agreed on a $60 refund rather than $110 which we deserved. Black suit man came back and saidhe couldn't refund as the payment was already processed with the bank (before I saw the bill) and "a refund would take 5 days toprocess". That was the most ridiculous response to restaurant error we've ever heard. I own a business, we understand howrefunds work. We felt like we were being played and couldn't get out of the dirty scenario fast enough. The food was OK but ifyou decide to eat here definitely don't let them process the payment before you check the bill. So many other l Read more

Loved the four corners chilaquiles for breakfast. Great almond milk latte as well. Beautiful outdoor patio scenery of... mountains. Awesome friendly server that was Colombian, so my Mexican family felt comfortable ordering with him in our Spanishlanguage. Great place highly recommend for a nice meal at such a lovely town. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. My husband and I ordered wine and several courses right when we got there.... We were excited for a date night while parents watched our baby. Over an hour later and we still had yet to receive theappetizer. At one point, we had to beg for bread because we were so hungry. We were ready to leave when they finally brought thefood, which was cold, 1.5 hours later after we had asked multiple staff for assistance. They brought us a bill for >$350 withnothing comped whatsoever. After complaining to multiple people who said they were the manager, they gave us a small discount. Iwill never go there again. While the outdoor seating and ambience was pleasant along with the service, we were underwhelmed with the majority of the food.... The broth that was the foundation of one of our entrees was inedible. It was so overly salty that we just couldn’t eat any ofit. One of the salads we ordered wasn’t made as requested and was therefore inedible. When we sent it back to hopefully getthe correct one, it also had an issue. At this point we just gave up. To spend this amount of money and to have half your mealbe inedible, it’s just unacceptable. We won’t be returning. Read more

The BEST food in Colorado! We dined here last night for our last meal in Colorado (we’ve been traveling the entire state for 2... weeks). Our buffalo tomahawk (shared for the table) was MASSIVE and delicious. We also had potato dumplings and a goat cheesesalad for starters. Peter was an amazing waiter and was attentive without being overbearing. A++++! Read more

Nice service, BUT overly seasoned dried aged New York steak tartar which makes hard to actually taste and enjoy the flavor of... the “supposedly” delicious meat and over cooked Elk chop was just hard to enjoy. I asked for medium rare but came medium…and it was quite dry honestly. The burger was decent. Read more
