I hope the owners don't mind my sharing this experience, but it truly resonated with me. Forget the fact that they have... absolutely the BEST cakes anywhere and that they had a GLUTEN-FREE cake when almost no other dessert shop did (still do)! TwoJunes ago, I went into the shop to pick up a cake for what I knew would be my last Father's Day with my dad in Charleston. Hewas in the hospital with an aggressive brain tumor, and we probably wouldn't even get to see him, it being Covid and all. Icalled my mom to ask which flavor he'd prefer, just in case he got out of the hospital. She told me that he'd just beendischarged. Right there in the store, I got emotional. I apologized for my public display and explained to the employee that mykids and I would get to see my dad one last Father's Day! I decided to order both flavors. They went above and beyond todecorate the box and make it look so fancy and nice with an extra "Happy Father's Day" sign and streamers. As they rang it up,the cashier whispered something to the owner, who took over on the register. The order should have cost a very fair $40-$50 ormore. However, they were incredibly generous and donated one full cake and gave me a large discount on the other. To say I gotemotional again is an understatement! I was touched, honored, and humbled by such random kindness! I've ALWAYS liked and boughtNothing Bundt Cakes because of their delicious gluten-free cakes! But now I LOVE them and refuse to go anywhere else because oftheir amazing customer service and compassion! Thank y'all for your kindness during such a tough time! Read more
