I had what seemed like a decent torta al pastor from here and got severe food poisoning. I had to go to the emergency room to... replace electrolytes and to get zofran. I was sick for an entire week. Las Meras was highly recommended to me, and I felt verydisappointed. I ordinarily don't post negative reviews, but this place has so many positives, I felt like it's my duty to sharemy experience. What a fabulous place! I should have written this a long time ago since I try to get there as often as I can. Terrific... selections of no frills tacos loaded with flavor. The place transports you to Mexico and has reasonably priced menu. Inaddition to already flavorful tacos, you get access to a condiments bar that is more than just salsa. !Mi torta cubana era muy bueno! Let me start of by saying my Cuban Torta was very very good. Awesome! !Asombroso! The staff was... very friendly and polite. This was the Taylor's location. Only complaint is no public restroom for the eat in crowd. There are two locations and both are excellent. They have a basic menu of tacos, all the faves, Tortas(subs) a grilled meat with... cheese and topped with avocado mayo tomato jalapeno onion, hurraches which is flat corn dough and is the name of a famous sandalmade in Mexico hence the name. Then it's fried and topped with smashed pintos cheese, veggies. It's all so good. They have asmall salsa bar with a few extras like pickle cactus, pasta salad, corn, pickle onions, potato salad. We were visiting Greenville for the weekend. Someone recommended Tortas for authentic Mexican food. Wow. This restaurant had... things on the menu that I have never seen in the Mexican restaurants from my home town. There were 9 of us. And all 9 of usenjoyed the food tremendously. Read more
