Wonderful experience at La Reata. The food is definitely not texmex. Very flavorful food from good quality ingredients. The... portions are mansized even for lunch menu. They do have a salsa bar which is an interesting spin on chips and salsa. The placeis much larger than it appears from the outside. Does not have a lot of parking at busy times. The only reason I... didn't give a 5 star is because I ordered a Pozole.. being from Mexico my self and trying different pozoles from differentrestaurants. I have to say this one is the worst. Overpriced! Meat was not fresh. The 6oz. Thin sliced ribeye with fried beans and rice and a little bell peppers and tomatoes is... $24.95. See the photo, I mixed the beans and rice, that is $24.95! The ribeye didn?t have a price on the menu so I thought itmight be less than $20 but I was wrong. It tasted like it?s been sitting in the ref before it was cooked. The taco plate $9, didnot look appetizing and small portion. See the photo, it was served like that. The meat was cheap, No salsa or tomatoes, cheeseand lettuce on the side. I asked for the salsa and I was pointed to the bar to get it. I was hungry but I have to get up to getmy own toppings! We will never come back to this restaurant. I honestly would never eat here again. The cleanliness or the lack thereof is very unsettling. The ?bean dip? clearly had water... in it to stretch it I assume. Absolutely horrible.
