Veteran Day-the free meal was great. The Veteran greeter at the door was amazing along with the staff , everyone thanked my... husband & mother in law for their service. Upon exiting they were thanked again and given some brochures. Again the meal wasexcellent but the atmosphere was awesome. I have attended many veteran type functions in the last 10 years with my husband and Ihave to say this one was special. Thank you Golden Corral for honoring our Veterans in such an outstanding way. This particular Golden Corral was not on par with others I've visited. Maybe it was the time of day (2pm) the only meat that was... decent was the Chicken. They only had baked chicken breast. The Salad bar was OK. I visited here a few years ago on a Sunday. Itwas great then.. Read more
Ate dinner here yesterday afternoon, early evening...made the cutoff 3:57pm for $10.99 vs $16.99 after 4pm. Ran out of ice, ice... tea at check in. Kind of disorganized and not fast enough during check in. Cleanliness could have been better throughout, espthe bathrooms. They did have plastic gloves for customers for buffet use. Good selection of items, steak, fish, shrimp. Fried chicken thighs were quite good, tender and juicy. Salad bar was good. Deserts were kind of spartan. Dishes and utensilscould have been cleaner. Server was fast and efficient. Replenishment at steam tables could have been faster, however seencustomers throwing away FULL PLATES OF FOOD...?! That was just wasteful in this day and age. Our family of 9 was well accommodated for dinner. Plenty of choices and good quality foods. Everyone left happy and full. Wait... time was reasonable for Saturday around 4pm. We appreciated our waitress who was quick to help us. We all missed the chocolatefountain and the hot fudge and caramel sauces. The food was great! My four children and I had all thought the food was delicious! However, I had witnessed an employee yell at... a customer, there was a long line, people had to seat themselves while they were busy, the woman at the register was sittingdown, and a employee handling the rolls was touching the food without gloves on! Other than that, we had good service. Thewaitress/busser was very nice and continuously checked on us, they food was always hot and fresh, and the food that ran out wasserved right away without a long wait! The food is what you'd expect at a buffet. Not amazing, but not terrible. We had an attentive server who was great. The big... disappointment for us was that not only was there no chocolate fountain (what usually sets this place apart from other buffets),but the ice cream machines were off as well, so our dessert options were limited to mostly cookies. To end on a positive note,the salad bar was fresh and absolutely delightful, probably the best part of the whole experience. Read more
First time back since the pandemic with the exception of the ham, ribs, and soup the rest of the dishes were awful and... tasteless. I could always count on getting a good salad. Lettuce had brown pieces. Coleslaw had no taste. Soda machine was notworking on several of the flavors. Not even the barbecue chicken was on point. Needless to say the prices went up. It was actually great this time. Food was fresh and hot. Selection was great. Food gets A+. Staff were very polite and helpful.... Wait time wa approximately 30 min. Not bad for Thanksgiving day. Only thing I can say bad is check your dishes and silverwarebefore using. Read more
