Had the BBQ on Second Saturday in Jasper. Sandwich was pulled pork. Texture was good. BUT?. Big red flag. They put sauce on it... before serving. If you have to sauce it before you serve it, you ain?t the man! The meat speaks before the sauce. BTW.. saucewas watered down flavor as well. I asked for a non-sauced sandwich and can?t begin to think of one they actually drowned. But Istill give it a 3-4. Alright roadside Q but not a must stop, if what they serve in Tate is what I ate. The pulled chicken was delicious. If you have not had the Baked Beans you are missing out as they are the best I have ever had.
Had the pork sandwich and pork plate. It?s okay. Nothing real special. Brisket, ribs, Biscuits and desserts may rank higher but... have not had those. This is just our experience. Very nice and helpful. Will update if we are back later. Read more
I know good bbq and this place has it on another level. Their brisket is off the chain. The owner is a very kind man. I had a... horrible day yesterday. My car blew a tire on I575. I was on my way to pick up some brisket tacos. I called to explain thatI?d be late. The owner greeted me in the parking lot with my order as I pulled up. He said they were ?on the house?. Hesaid, ?you?ve had enough hardship today? and ?it?s the least I can do?. He knows I commute from Jasper to Atlanta to supportmy family from our initial introduction. I?ve only ordered once prior to this time and felt so thankful for his kindness. Thefood is amazing and the owner is a proud and hard working American. Sideburners is the exact type of business worth supporting. Stop giving away your hard earned money to big corporations and support good people like this! Read more
I ordered the brisket tacos because I wanted to try something new. Was a little disappointed when I first looked at them because... they didn?t look great tbh, but that immediately changed with my first bite. They were so flavorful and juicy I could?ve eaten10 of them. Will definitely be back here to order the same exact thing Read more
Some great BBQ at the 4 way stop in Tate! I got the ribs with mac and cheese, and Brunswick Stew. The ribs were so tender and... the Brunswick stew was some of the best I?ve had! Keep us the great work Jason! Read more
