I was able to find all items on my list. However, more importantly, thank goodness Guiermo in Produce has returned from medical... leave! I feel he can select produce; fruits & veggies ?above & beyond? anyone else! During his absence, others selected fruitfor me & it was TERRIBLE! The cantaloupe had no taste & the watermelon, just as tasteless. I through both away. Additionally,Mgr Bob is always available and accessible to locate items I?m looking for. Also, check-out personnel are warm, friendly and atrue delight! I love the Tarzana Gelson?s. It?s been my store for over 35 years and will continue to be the only market forme! ???? Read more
Clean store, appealing visuals. Feels upscale. Good selection of less common and more health conscious items, including snacks,... drinks, and fresh items. Friendly staff. The only real drawbacks are the narrow check out lanes and smaller selection of somenon-food items like flushable wipes and dietary supplements ? however, I am still able to find things that work for me in thoseareas. A little expensive but I'm happy to pay for the variety and more specialized selection a few times a month. Read more

The prices at Gelson's are very high for items available at other grocery stores. The produce department at our store is better... now, but still sub par. The meat and fish guys are very good and accommodating. Again, prices are prohibitive for weeklyshopping. Read more
Excellent fresh produce and a large variety of cooked items to choose from. The meat and fish section are also fantastic.
A perfect supermarket for the area all items available
I always have bad luck here. Workers don't care and they suck at helping. Last straw was when the check out girl was busy... talking with co-worker, sees me and doesn't say anything. Find out she actually was open, was just ignoring me, and the guywho's supposed to guide us didn't say anything either. Not coming back. Read more

I find Gelson?s extraordinary cleanliness; quality... of their fresh meats, seafood, and produce; variety of products; beautiful flower shop; and their old-fashioned friendliness andsuperior service very compelling and important to me as a discerning shopper.
