If you want to see some of the worst customer service of an ice cream shop, this location is just what you?re looking for. This... review is for the service and not the quality of their ice cream. All I can say is wow, I don?t know if the staff is usuallythis rude or I just came on a bad night. The first employee was texting on her phone while taking my order. Then when theycalled the wrong name for my ice cream order I let them know my name and I was picking it up and the response was an eye rollwith a very rude ?yeah, whatever?. If that wasn?t a bad impression enough, the order after mine they screamed the persons namein an ear piercing and unnecessarily rude manner. After she called their name 4 times, pretty rapidly and increasing in loudnessevery time, she finally gave up said whatever and left the ice cream on the counter. I understand shouting a name loudly to makesure everyone can hear, but the way the name was shouted was very unpleasant and offensive. I can?t believe the lack of respectmultiple employees showed the customers. Truly some of the rudest service I have ever experienced. This isn?t what you wantwhen you go for an evening out and a manager/owner needs to correct tonight?s crew. These employees need better training incustomer service or they need more supervision. Staff are friendly and great, ice cream and treats are all delicious.
Very disappointed! Drove to Twistee Treat in New Tampa on Saturday to get two milk shakes. Waited in line for seven minutes,... while other customers were getting served and then when I tried to make an order the cashier told me that they did not want toserve me because they wanted to leave since they are closing in 25 minutes. So I asked if their cut off time is 30 minutesbefore they close. He then told me that he could make me a kiddee Cone, which is not what I asked. If you close at 10:30 youshould serve until 10:30. It?s really an issue when you have personnel working and can?t either speak and/or understand English. I specifically ordered... and repeated myself 3 to 4 times requesting butter pecan milkshake. Instead, I was given a butter praline milkshake. Then I wastold, they don?t carry butter pecan ice cream. Please hire workers that will be confronting customers at your window to speakand understand English. Read more

We?ve been coming to this Twistee Treat for years. Today, I asked for the key for the bathroom (which I have used many times... over the years at this location)to take my twin 2 year olds while we were waiting for our ice cream. I was told it is only foremployees. If you are a family establishment, you would have a bathroom accessible for little kids. The concept that it makesmore sense for us to walk into a restaurant across the plaza that we are NOT eating in to use their bathroom instead of the oneat Twistee Treat is insane. We won?t be back.
