This place has been here for decades. If your looking for a good Cuban Sandwich this is one of the few places in this part of... town. It doesn't look like much, and the service is hit or miss, but the food is good. Read more

When you call yourself the Cuban sandwich shop you better be able to make a banging Cuban. This place falls short of that mark.... What seemed to be pre-packaged ham and one lonely slice of pork did not do their sandwiches any justice. I've never heard oflettuce on a Cuban sandwich but their lettuce was soggy and sad. The potato ball was smaller than the palm of my hand and quitepricey for the size. Maybe if you were in a rush and needed a quick bite I could recommend this place but if you're expecting atop tier Cuban sandwich maybe try another place. Read more

My breaded steak was awful! It was under cooked and soggy dripping with grease the breading was raw mush. After scraping it off... the steak you could taste the grease that it was cooked in and could tell that the grease was not hot enough and just soakedinto the entire steak and breading. The black beans were not much better very very watery and no taste the fried plantains weregood like usual. I've been picking up food there for over 40 years and usually pretty decent but lately its been bad. Not sureif there's new owners or manager or just a happen to go on the bad days? I speak for a dozen or so long time customers that feelthe same way. Read more

Been coming here for over 25 years, because the Breakfasts are soooo very good!! For starters, if you're new to the area, and... never tried Cuban Toast, you absolutely need to!! Take it a step further, and order yourself a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese BreakfastSandwich on Cuban Toast. Mannnnnn...I promise you, not one single regret. Do not expect frills, this restaurant is quite modest. But please don't let that deter you. After all, you're there for the food, not the decor... The Service is always quick, efficient, and friendly. All tables, no booth seating. They also offer take-out, if preferred. Either way, Welcome to the Tampaarea!! Definitely make your way to the Cuban Sandwich Shop for a wonderful breakfast, at an old school, North Tampa gem!! Read more

Honestly not worth it for the price. The portions were way small. Also it just wasn?t that great.. the white rice kinda tasted... like it was the boil in a bag type & the Ropa Vieja & the Cuban weren?t that great either... the Cuban toast was probably thebest thing I got from there.. so I mean at least that was good. Great Place. We stop by there often to get big delicious Cuban sandwiches. Walk in, order, and wait is pretty consistent @ 6-7... minutes. Don't worry, their menu is great too with multiple choices and it's a sit down too. Sandwiches are the bomb though! Read more

This is their deviled crab and stuffed potato. I love this two dishes, however, I just had them delivered and they have... literally made me sick to my stomach. Don't know if it's a bad batch, but I had to throw my entire meal away. Read more

I was tired of the traditional breakfast spots. I was originally going to go to hole in one but thought I'd give this place a... try. The Cuban French toast was okay. I thought it was a little over cooked and oily but nothing a little syrup couldn't fix. Ireally enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and thought the eggs were cooked really nice. A lot of restaurants are usually lackingsalt but they didn't not disappoint (it wasn't overly salty at all). My waitress Kim was also very attentive and patient. Shechecked back on me frequently. I look forward to exploring their menu a little more and would definitely love to try thebiscuits and gravy next time. Read more
