I ordered take out 3 weeks ago. Very expensive and the portion was too small for a full order, more like for a child. I didn't... say anything about it and took it home. The Beans & meat were really salty. The meat didn't taste fresh. It all ended up tossedinto garbage and I ended up eating Ravioli from a can, today I decided to give them a second chance so I bought take out againand "big mistake". It was worse than the 1st time. I called them and told them about the salt and the old taste of the chickenand beans and told them that I was taking it back. . The man that answered, "well..that's too bad. We don't refund anything. Herudely said, You bought it. ,'is yours! I was trying to be polite..and told him..you should tell your cook to use less salt onthe meat and beans. He said "I'm not saying anything..then I said .. don't worry! I don't plan to buy food from you ever againgood luck, I hanged up the phone. It just happened! I am upset and hungry! It was a traditional Cuban sandwich consisting of roasted pork,ham, salami, and Swiss cheese with mustard and a spear of dill pickle. Delicious. Absolutely awful!! Each time we order food and drive it home 1 mile, the food is ALWAYS opened and spilled all over the bottom... of the bag- On several occasions at least within 12-24 hours we would be sick and we honestly believe it may be the food andthe "Thank you" bags the food always spills into- could be roach dust or other. It is not worth being sick- and the staff isRUDE about it as well! I have included a picture and looking at it literally makes my stomach turn- we had to throw out $14 offood and then decide what to do for dinner after a 10 hour work day and it was 8:00 PM - too many other great places to getCuban food with courtesy staff as well- Read more
Latin fast food in Saint Pete; which is great to have, especially on the north side. I've only had 2 made to order items. The... mofongo; good. And the Cuban sandwich; surprisingly subpar, almost no pork and so much deli meat that it was cold?. Read more
Very interesting experience. The rice was cold and I asked to warm it up a little bit and they took literally 15min doing that... and when they finally brought the rice I couldn?t even eat it because it was extremely hot to the point that it had an aftertaste after that. So, we were on the way to Weedon Island (which is AWESOME [see my review]) and good old Google suggested Pepo's. Don't be... put-off by the outside. Sometimes, such places serve the best food around and...we were NOT dissapointed! Everything isauthentic Cuban and the food was crazy-good! I had the Cuban pork on a Cuban roll (instead of the wrap) and my wife had theChicken with rice and black beans and both were outstanding! The staff were very friendly and you could tell the customers wereloyal locals who knew where to get great Cuban food. So, if you ate looking to pick up something on the way to Weedon, don'teven think about going somewhere else! Read more
Great selection of Cuban food. Large portions and multiple side dishes available. It looks clean and the service is welcoming... and fast. I would recommend this place if you'd like to experience Cuban fast food. Read more
My friend and I decided to go here because we were craving Cuban food. This restaurant is more buffet style with most foods on... the menu being cooked already. I purchased a chicken breast with onions and peppers, Spanish beans, yellow rice, and 2 beefempanadas. The empanadas were not good at all. The yellow rice and Spanish beans were delicious.
