BBQ is good! This was my first time here. I had the three meat sampler. Baby back ribs, brisket, pulled pork, my sides were... baked beans, and slaw. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich, and fries, they give her a lot on the pulled pork sandwich. Mepersonally, don?t waste your time on the pulled pork or the slaw, not a fan. Brisket was good! I have been here multiple times. I like the barbecues. Ample indoor and outdoor seating available. You order at the counter and... when ready they will be call your name. I orders rib and pork, and I liked both, also baked beans are great. Prices haveincreased. Each person now ends up 20-30$, was less before. The quality has been unchanged in my view and continue to be greatand tasty. No need to go to Texas for barbecue. Get to the neighborhood establishment. Casual dining, with moderate noise level.Different pictures and military and police memorabilia on the walls are interesting. Overall for barbecue connoisseurs this isthe place to go ???????? Unbelievably the best, hands down barbeque I have ever eaten -- and I'm from Kansas City, notorious for exceptional BBQ. This... place far exceeds any smoked delectibles I have sampled to date. In fact, upon last visit, I ate everything on my plate and wentback to the counter and got a second plate, it was that good!!! Plus they have several varieties of BBQ sauce to suit yourtastes, as well. The place also has a distictive unique character, with police, fire dept, military service artifacts,pictures, and memorabilia decorating the place. And at certain points all patrons are encouraged to stand and observe the USAnational anthem. If you are a veteran, or know anyone who has served, this place might be a treat or at least a special place toshow gratitude to them for their service. Aside from that, the apple cobbler is life changing and so delicious, it's acertainty that after eating here you'll become a regular after the first visit. Thank me later! So good!!! Read more
Wow! Great BBQ. We found this restaurant on Yelp. When we walked in, I knew that it was going to be good. You could smell the... smoke in the air. We were met at the door by Felicia, their Community Support Person. She explained that their mission issupport active and retired military and law enforcement. I instantly felt right at home. Everything they make is made freshdaily, the have no freezers. We had 3 Meat Sampler; chicken, brisket, and pork, with coleslaw. It was amazing. The have a wideselection of sauces, from sweet to spicy, right at the table. The Brisket was melt in your mouth. The pork and chicken weresmokey goodness. I highly recommend them. Having visited other locations , I stopped here for a late lunch bbq delight. It never fails to deliver great flavors and good... food. I was a bit thrown off by the tomatoes added to the collard greens, which I personally believe added an acidic note thatdidn?t compliment the greens at all. Atmosphere definitely is dedicated to military and first responders. All the walls had various military and sports memorabilia ... (e.g. jerseys, picture, badges, etc). Got the pulled chicken sandwich with the baked potato as a side and my boyfriend got apulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese. It may be worth mentioning though that just about all the times on the menu are pricedseparately (so there isn't a single price for an "entree with a side"). I thought it was cool that they had so many differentsauce options to choose from to put on your food.
