What a man amazing dining experience I had here! The waitress Vanessa, was very welcoming and pleasant to us and other parties.... She was very helpful in making our dinner choices as well with very good suggestions on everything on the menu! The food wasprepared to order with fresh ingredients that delighted my taste buds! I've visited this wonderful Italian eatery a few times now and the experience has been a consistent top notch delivery of food... and service alike. Arriving there, I was always greeted with a smile and appreciated the prompt attention by the hostess, MARIA.During this visit, my friend and I enjoyed a great meal of pasta, pizza, and chocolate cake. The first time I had the raviolithere, I was a little disappointed at the ratio of raviolis/dollar, but with a quick comment to ASHTON, this was corrected bygiving me a couple extra at no charge. I never felt I had a small portion from that point forward and always order my go-to dishwith a smile. Parking is a little cramped, but they did offer free valet service, which was nice. The space was always clean andhas plenty of seating for dinner. As a person with Sicilian heritage, they do a great job creating Italian dishes. Cute restaurant off MacDill with fresh made pasta and pizza. We came in a Monday night, where they have their Monday Madness... special which is 50% off dine in purchases. We ordered the following: Foccacina, Eggplant roll ups, meatballs, matteo choppedsalad, gnocchi Alfredo, gnocchi with shrimp, pasta bolognese, ravioli, and their house pinot noir. Least favorite was theravioli and the salad, both were plain and lacked flavor. Top were the eggplant roll ups, gnocchi with shrimp, and bolognese. Iwould definitely come back and try some more. Simply amazing!! Best pizza we ever had! Everything we ordered was perfect. The favors and the service are exquisite. Best... choice for a true Italian experience. We are on vacation in Tampa and we must say that our most favorite dining experience has been Matteo's Trattoria! Great Italian... food, great ambiance and great service! My daughter and I were there on Monday evening and we both ordered the Chicken AlfredoPasta. It was delicious. You can tell that the noodles are handmade! The chicken was so flavorful and juicy. Excellent! The warmcrusty bread with the olive tapanade was a good compliment to the pasta dish. We decided that we must try their Tiramisu. It wasthe best we have tasted, even better than in Venice! Our server, Joel, was very friendly, attentive, menu knowledgeable andprofessional. In other words, he was great! The ambiance was wonderful and the people dining there seemed very happy. Theseating was comfortable and cozy. Decor was on point. A place you want to return to. We were surprised to learn that it wasMonday Madness there, which meant all dishes were 50% off!!
