For Saturday morning, we were looking for a healthy breakfast option in Tampa. Since Little Leon was on my list for the salads... we decided to visit Little Leon for the breakfast options. Little Leon is a health food cafe with a lot of options for saladsand bowls along with different ingredients. When we went to Little Leon we ordered 3 bowls for us. Two were the big leon bowlswhich consisted of ingredients from our choice and third was the Thai, Thai again bowl. The ingredients were fresh and therewere wide variety of ingredients to choose from. The ingredients are put into the bowl according to our request. The food wasfantastic, super fresh and they had an amazing combos along with the fantastic menus. I am a bit of a strict reviewer. Pros: - Food was quite tasty and fresh. - Counter and all the tables were very clean - plenty... of tables and chairs - decor was pleasant - price was on par ($10-12/bowl) Cons: - Some of my purple rice was hard and crusty(bottom of the pan), not to my liking - Portion of protein and portion sizes overall were on the small side. Noticeably smallerthan comparative build-your-own-healthy-bowl places. (Fresh Kitchen, So Fresh, Smoothie Spot) - served in conventional clearplastic bowl and plastic cutlery (not sustainable) - no recycling - not ONE outlet available to charge a laptop? Wowza this place is the best!! It?s incredibly cute inside and out, but the real star is the food! It?s all so fresh and so many... diary and gluten free options. Plus the house made drinks that are not too sweet! Highly recommend! Read more
This place is fantastic !!! I?m from out of town, and I came here and it was so good! So good that I came back twice in the same... day. The food was fantastic, super fresh, they had awesome combos and an amazing menu. And a staff was wonderful. I highlyrecommend the spot. Too bad. When this spot first opened up my girlfriend and I were super excited and started putting this place into rotation... regularly. My how things have changed. The portion size issue, as you can see, was my final straw in reasons why I won't beback. There's been a couple issues regarding discounts and promotions they've advertised in the past; really, no big deal.We've lived I the area for decades and love supporting our local businesses here in south Tampa. The food is delicious but whenordering and commenting on how skimpy the bowl was, we were given an eye roll and ignored. I get times are tough, and I knowthis spot is seldomly bustling, given it's location, but I can't support a business that takes is financial hardships out on itsconsumers. I hope business picks up here, because I will definitely miss the food and unique flavors, but until then I'm goingto have to choose one of the other options such as Fresh Kitchen, So Fresh, or another local spot that does bowls properly.Wasn't even going to post this review, but since I really do want this place to succeed, and I was given an eye roll and ignoredwhen I asked face to face about it, I feel this is the most productive way to get the owners attention so they can rectify inthe future. Recently lunched here and loved the food, service and location. They had a great selection of bowls and salads, with the option... to build your own. Everything looked/tasted fresh, prices were reasonable and there was plenty of seating inside and in theircute outdoor courtyard. Read more
For context, this is a ?Big? Leon I ordered and it does not even fill the bowl it was delivered to me in. Are the smaller... options sample sized then? I paid extra for the steak and received about five nuggets of charred tough steak fat. I reallywanted to give this place a shot, but I can?t help but feel ripped off after my experience ordering from you guys. I would notreturn nor recommend ordering/eating Little Leon to anyone.
