This is my favorite Jimmy John?s store in the Tampa area. The staff here are always so very polite, friendly and accommodating.... For example, I forgot to initially tell them to not put lettuce on my toddler?s sandwich. When I remembered to ask, they werealready in the process of making his sandwich and almost done. They were not upset at all with the last min request and quicklyscraped off the lettuce. It was also nice to hear from the employee how he understood since he has a little one himself andknows the struggle of feeding a picky eater. Today was my first experience with Jimmy John's. I have to admit they were not my first choice for food today but I guess they... should have been. Sitting on a construction site in downtown Tampa today I could not get anyone to deliver me food. I gave themthe address of the building I was sitting in front of and when I told them I was parked in a dump truck outside they refused todeliver to me. I knew Jimmy John's was not far from my location so I figured I'd give them a try. Called and placed myorder,,gave the address told the girl on the phone I was parked in a dump truck on the construction site outside. She said okayno problem. I had my food in under 20 minutes. My husband probably believes I am sabotaging his order at this point. Because they ALWAYS mess up his sandwich. Every time I say... * NO lettuce... Very clearly... They repeat it back to me and when we look at his sandwich you would swear I ordered extralettuce. The person I spoke to tonight was very polite and helpful. They were great. I always feel bad bc they are typicallyshort staffed. Tonight I was the only person in there. They were complaining in front of me about their staffing issues... Whichis unprofessional, but I get it! But had you been reading the order instead of complaining l probably wouldn't be so mad aboutall the lettuce on this sandwich. The vito does not list that it even includes lettuce but when I didn't say say " no lettuce"they put lettuce and now I do say " NO lettuce" and it always gets lettuce. We order from here fairly regularly because they deliver and are pretty quick, which helps when we only have a short lunch... before we have to be back in court, but the last THREE times they have gotten our order completely wrong. First time, weordered over the phone because the website was down. We ordered 2 club lulus (bacon and turkey) and got a club lulu and a clubtuna. I checked the receipt and the person had put the order in wrong. I don't hate tuna, so I took the incorrect sandwich butit wasn't even good tuna and I threw most of it away. The second time we ordered a hunter club (roast beef) and an ultimateporker (bacon and ham). Instead of the roast beef, we got a veggie sandwich and instead of ham and bacon we got turkey andbacon. The ticket was correct so the person making the sandwich made them wrong. Today, we ordered 2 lulu clubs and got 2 beachclubs (turkey and avocado). My co-worker hates avocado. Once again the ticket was right but the sandwiches were wrong. On allthree occasions, we were starving and didn't have time to find anything else to eat. That's also the only reason we orderedfrom them after the last two orders were wrong. And it's not cheap to order for delivery... once you add in the delivery feeand the tip it's $25 for 2 sandwiches and chips. That's $75 we've spent to get something other than what we paid for. WE WILLNOT ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN. I will just be hungry before I spend money to get the wrong food again. Either give your sandwichesreal names like roast beef or turkey club or train your employees better. And I'm not even going to get into how theypreviously tipped themselves a ridiculous amount on a government credit card when we ordered for a jury and the person signingforgot to write in their tip. Came in with my family looking to get Jimmy johns and was greeted by whom identified himself as the manager of Jimmy Johns... ?Andre _______? at 12:03. I was absolutely horrified by the way he spoke to my wife as she was uncertain in her order. I amunsure as to why the manager displayed himself in such an unprofessional way but through trying to contact customer service onthis location after my experience I was unsuccessful. Unluckily, I have to leave this review so that any remedial action towardsthis employee can be made and the service can be improved. Read more
Ybor Jimmy Johns is the best! Fresh-baked french or 7-grain whole wheat bread daily, makes a GREAT sandwich!!!
