By far the best hidden gem in Tampa. Randomly stopped in and was blown away by how awesome the place is. I never heard of it... before. The staff were amazing and it made me really want the food to be amazing too. However that wasn?t the case, the fries were stale... and they had a weird taste like they had been fried in old oil or something. The tenders were lacking in flavor and also had aslight hint of old oil. Maybe this was just an off day. Seems everyone else rated them pretty well. Read more
Was going to give them a three star but after I got a sweet tea, and she picked up the ice with her hand put it into my cup, and... looked me dead in my face with no gloves. Food was definitely mediocre. Wasn?t anything spectacular. The sauce was very saltyand the chicken was very bland. As much as I have heard about this place, I definitely expected more. I?m not from the area so I I had never tried Guthries in the past. The chicken was amazing and the sauce was the icing on top!... The boss came out and gave us a big container of more fries after we got our food because he thought the ones he gave us werecold. It wasn?t necessary but it was a nice gesture! Read more
Great staff, great chicken fingers. The restaurant is always clean for dining in and the chicken tastes fresh and is always hot.... A great hidden gem in Tampa. First time dinning at Guthrie's today and the atmosphere and food are great. This location has a much larger dinning area than... first appearances would suggest and it is clean and comfortable. The service was fast and friendly and we felt very welcome. Themenu is refreshingly simple and the chicken is as good or better than some of the best out there. Will be back in the future. Read more
The chicken tenders were fine. Piping hot, fresh, moist, but I felt they lacked flavor without the sauce. They were also pretty... small. Fries were boring, needed salt. The signature sauce is decent but didn?t justify the whole meal for me.
