I used to go here for dinner and ice cream when I lived in the area. I heard that they closed many years ago but tonight we... just happen to be coming down that road due to construction and when we passed we saw the open sign. Of course we had to turnaround and go back. Unfortunately we already had dinner but we couldn't pass up the ice cream. Still as delicious as ever! Stopped on a whim. Although the food was quite tasty and the server, "Helen" friendly, prompt and courteous, I surely miss... the vibe of years past. But don't shy away from this eatery. They need patrons to believe in their efforts and will achievemuch more success. Oh, forgot to tell you our menu selections. Fried green tomatoes, Grilled Ruben and the 'special' a BBQpulled pork sandwich. All were priced well and worth a repeat on my next visit. Very good food. The service was friendly. It took a little bit before our food arrived, but it was tasty. The atmosphere is very... neat; old-time farm type, we enjoyed that a lot. The food was good and fairly priced. Building and grounds were well maintained. Located on just off major highway. Lots of off... street free parking. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. Very short wait to be seated. Still using Covid 6' distance rule. The have hot items soup and sandwiches. They offer Pie and ice cream lots of flavors. They do have a salad barsomewhere. I did not find it. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Food was good. I had Turkey Club with French fries. .Mywife had an Tuna Melt. Service was fast. It was lunch time. Priced right and delicious!!! Hit right at a lunch rush. Waited about 10 min but there was seating and a small shop to walk... around in. Was seated in the large dining room with ample room between each table. *Masks are still required toenter*. Drinks came out quickly after being seated. Out waitress had a bunch of tables so service was a little slower but shedid not forget about us. Food was great. Diner style with no frills. Large menu and multiple specials to choose from. Huge icecream, pie and cake selection too! I had a chop steak with two sides. The wife had a turkey dinner, my oldest has a buffalochicken cheese steak and the kids had grilled cheese w/chips and a hotdog w/chips. We all finished with ice cream!!! This putus at $60!!!
