Within walking distance from the truck stop. My husband and I ordered the full slab ribs with coleslaw and beans.(Couldn't... finish it all).Good portions. Very tender (fall off the bones) even good without sauce but sauce was good also. Beans weren'tsoupy, great flavor. Slaw didn't match up with my homemade but good. Will return if in the area. This place is easy to get to while traveling! Easy access for truckers who stop at the Pilot next door. I asked to to... specifically cut my ribs up and separate them and they were more than accommodating! The ribs were falling off the bone tender!The baked potato salad was to my liking?with a little zing and had great flavor! Read more
The BBQ here is what I refer to as catering BBQ. Barbecuing in large quantities and not really worried about the meat having a... lot of flavor but making it up with the sauce. The pulled pork was decent but was lacking in flavor and moisture. Mac and cheesewas just ok. Fries and toast were great! Especially the seasoning on the fries. Would have liked a shaker of it to season themeat. The place is nice and clean and girls working on the inside are nice. Prices are great and you get your money?s worth inthe amount they give you. The sauce is the star of the show here. A sweet tomato/ketchup base sauce that is sweet but notoverpowering. All of this makes up for the lack of flavor of the meat and brings it to a 4 star rating. I really didn't want to take the short walk to pickup some food, but I am so glad I did. Outside of the mac'n'cheese made by my... mom, easily the best I've had. The ribs were amazing and the hickory fries were enough to be a meal of their own. Read more
Ribs extremely salty, just overwhelmingly salty. Way too much rub added . Tender and had good taste if you could get thru... the abundant salt. Fries were excellent, slaw good. BBQ sauce is good, tables are nasty, salt and pepper shakers sticky withdried something. That's unacceptable. Ketchup bottle the same, just filthy. Napkin holder dusty with more dried food ? on them.I might get to go , if I come back, but these lazy people need to clean up their act. Not a good look. Read more
