I'm really glad we stopped by! I had the pabellon. Super juicy & tender beef. Great rice. Amazing black beans. My wife got the... ham & cheddar arepa, and we both enjoyed that too. The folks at the counter were really nice. Highly recommend this place. Read more

We decided to hop off the interstate in Tallahassee on our trip home to St Pete. I try to avoid chain restaurants and fast food... whenever possible so when I came across VeneBites on a google search I was game to give Venezuelan a try! This quaint littlerestaurant was packed with super friendly staff and big beautiful flavor. Do yourself a favor and stop here to try the Arepa dePabellon or any of the other delish looking arepas on the menu - we were happy with our selections and SO FULL when we left ???? Read more

My fist time here, and my first time eating Venezuelan food, but it will definitely not be my last! Such a cute, intimate... restaurant, with a great patio, even in the hot August heat. I have had arepas before from a Columbian restaurant, so I wasfamiliar with the concept, but this one I had today was the best one ever. It was honestly one of the best things I've eaten, ever. I ordered the Arepa de Pabellon, which had black beans, shredded beef & fried sweet plantains, and I paid extra to addcheese as well. It comes with a green dipping sauce on the side, that I believe is an avocado cilantro cream sauce, that was outof this world. I'd love to figure out how to recreate the sauce at home myself, because it would be so good on so many things.Back to the arepa though - the arepa itself is thick and fluffy, and they STUFFED this thing so full. I ordered a side of riceto go with it, but it wasn't necessary (and ended up taking it home with me for my toddler), because the arepa was packed sofull and was very filling. The combination of flavors from the meat, cheese, plantains & sauce was just incredible, and Icouldn't seem to stop myself from groaning at every delicious bite. My friend ordered the Arepa Camaron, which had a coldshrimp salad, peppers, tomatoes, onions, avocado, Thousand Island & tabasco. And I know she loved every bite of hers and ravedabout how much shrimp was actually in there. And she loved the same green dipping sauce as well. It wasn't overly crowded, butjust busy enough, with plenty of tables inside & outside. There also seemed to be plenty of folks picking up to-go orders, sothat's a good option as well. Can't wait to come back and try something new! (But I'll definitely be tempted to get the samething again...) Read more

*hidden gem alert* The hubz and I went to Venebites today (off 3rd Avenue). It was my second time and his first. I still can?t... get over how good the food is. Hubby was very impressed. The arepas are unbelievable? actually everything there isincredible. Appetizer and drinks: Tequenos and Polar O goodness. The only thing I can equate Tequenos to is mozzarella sticks, but that doesn?t do it justice. They are on another level with the scrumptious crust and cheese filled center. The Venezuelanbeer was fruity, smooth and light. So refreshing and perfect on this sunny day. Arepas: Arepa Pelua and Arepa Rumbera I had theArepa Pelua (pictured) which is shredded beef and cheese (added avocado). The meat is so well seasoned and their cheese isdelicious. All the flavors meld so perfectly together. Esp with their dipping sauce. The staff were so friendly and kind andhelpful with our order. Super reasonable prices. The patio is lovely, inviting and made for a perfect spot to share anunforgettable meal on this beautiful day. I cannot wait to go back and try more arepas as well as the flan!!! Highly recommendVeneBitestally1! Read more

I read so many great reviews about this place and decided I would try it for dinner. It?s tucked away in midtown and the gpa... kind of took me in a circle! It wasn?t really busy and the service was extremely fast. Upon walking up, they have a really nicecovered outdoor seating area. The atmosphere inside is really festive. They also have a cute little cart set up with all typesof, what I assume are, Venezuelan candy and treats. I ordered the patacon special with shredded beef, white rice, black beans, and plantains. I also ordered the tres leches. As far as the meal went, it was great, although it could have used a bit moreseasoning. I added a little sazon complete and it was excellent. Now I have to talk about the tres leches cake. OHHHH my GOSH,it was sooooo delicious. It was so moist, it wasn?t overly sweet and I think I didn?t get a big enough piece (lol) No, the pieceI got was large but it was so good that I wish I would?ve gotten two. I will definitely be back especially for the Tres Leches. This is truly a hidden gem. Read more
