One of FSU cafeterias, convenient location for fsu students. Mediocre food, sticky floor. Workers are nice.
It's school food; better than most public schools and the menu certainly has variety from day to day but whether or not it's... quality, or fresh, depends on the staff that day. EDIT 6 years later (2022) - much has changed. Without exposing too much aboutthe inner workings of Seminole Cafe (formerly Fresh Foods Co), I amend my review and can say that the food is fresh, often madein the hours leading up to service and continuously throughout the day. It is also generally **really** quality stuff, muchimproved since I was a student - changes include: a sushi bar (replacing the general build-your-own salad), with daily freshprepared ingredients and a weekly menu; specialty pizzas changed daily between lunch and dinner; hot and cold desserts; plantforward station for vegetarian and sometimes vegan options and desserts; and the smokehouse station, which is similar toTraditions in that they have a protein and side dishes, however at smokehouse proteins are more often smoked or slow-cookedovernight and sometimes may have seafood. There are still challenges, mostly effects of the ongoing pandemic, such as staffshortages affecting quality of service, and sometimes food item shortages (most often, fresh produce items like fruits andveggies); be mindful of these. All that said, it is a buffet, and with it being open to not just the university but publicguests, I'd consider it well worth the $9 to $11 to get in (prices vary from breakfast to dinner, as well as for public vs FSUstaff) Read more
My lord this place took a nosedive. There's hardly any food and what's actually there isn't exactly choice. I was given the... explanation that labor shortages and supply chain issues are the main causes of the problems, which is perfectly reasonable.However, I'd like to point out that Seminole Dining has made no effort whatsoever to publicize this information. Update: Theissues have mostly been fixed by now, but some favorites (the hot dog bar, daily themed items other than the friday soul food)have been completely cut out. Not a bad place to go anymore, but certainly lacks its pre-shutdown luster. Read more
Decent place and convenient for fsu students, especially who purchase meal plans. Otherwise with $10 you can go to places... golden coral for a better meal. Read more
We visited Seminole Cafe during a band field trip to the PRISM concert. My daughter couldn't believe "hot wings" were served in... college! ???? Cafe was clean and neat and the staff were friendly. Very pleased with the variety of food. Some hot food was coldwhen served but I think it was due to the massive amount of middle and schoolers the cafe was expecting. Read more
The staff are amazing! I go fairly regularly and enjoy spending time there. I can always find something good to eat there. I... feel like I am seeing family when I setup in for a bite to eat. You definately want to go for Fried Chicken Friday's! Read more
Busy, good food, great service, don't eat to much then get hit in the stomach.
