We had a great experience here. We came on a Sunday not knowing the menu was different than normal. We were greeted by this... beautiful young lady who was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. We came all the way from Guam to drop ourdaughter off at FAMU and wanted to try something good and this place was no disappointment. We hadn't eaten all day, got therearound 730 and was told that they ran out of food so instead of just saying "we out", they went to purchase the ingredientsneeded to make the food. The wait was longer than I'd like but it proved to be for the best. I went back to the car while wewere waiting on the food to be done and we were given free drinks and huge pieces of cake for the wait. This......is customerservice. Flavor was good. Concept is neat. Too expensive for the amount of food. They were burning incense in the main room. Kinda... nauseating. Cashier wasn't listening to orders and asked customer to repeat. Looks half closed inside. Music was too loud tohear names being called. Chef Sam is not there. so good !! we got the lemon pepper wings with a side of tostones, jerk chicken patties, and shrimp pasta, and it was all really... great! some of the best lemon pepper wings i?ve had in a while for sure, and the tostones were tasty and well fried. the jerkchicken patty was probably my favorite, it was all really good but it really stood out, the seasoning was perfect. definitelycoming back, really great food and really good portions too ! also the restaurant itself is really cute and well decorated, andthe staff were all super nice :) Read more
The food is delicious and features a few of my favorite Caribbean bites. The food presentation is excellent and it's made fresh!... The pineapple bowls are perfection. No fountain drinks, which wasn't a problem for my crew. Loved trying something new. Thedining room is totally Instagramable. I already can't wait to go back! Read more
Loved the concept and food was tasty. We got the shrimp and beef pineapple bowl. Both were good. I love the sauce and the rice... was well cooked. I did feel like the portion inside the pineapple was not enough. I came in starving. It was very cute - but Iwish I just had a little bit more food at that price point. We were searching for a new place to eat and came across this restaurant and OH MY GOODNESS! We had the Caribbean Patties,... Pineapple Chicken Bowl, Gourmet Wings, Sweet Plantains, and the Rasta Pasta. We pretty much tried something from every sectionof the menu and it was all delicious. The presentation is beautiful too. We just couldn?t get enough of all the food! If youare thinking about trying this place, do it! You won?t regret it. The owner, Sam, was very nice and even sells a cookbook (whichwe bought!) Finally got to visit Pineappetit! Wow the flavors are amazing! I had the chicken bowl with sweet & spicy sauce. Hubby had the... salmon. We ordered Rasta pasta & wings for the kids to share. Next time I probably would get the sweet & spicy sauce for therice bowl on the side. It was delicious, but I noticed after a while it became too sweet. Next time I want to control the amountof sauce in the rice. Their wings are DELICIOUS. You could come for wings alone they are really good. Nice and Crispy & avariety of flavors. We dined in on a Tues evening had the place to ourselves. The decor inside is really cute. The cashiercould have put a little pep in her step.
