Halisia African restaurant food is not good at all. I order Egusi stew with goat meat, rice fufu, beef Swahili bowl, and... couldn?t eat it. The stew was tasteless soupy with no goat meat. Received rice that was $6 with only 2 tablespoon full of rice .I have travel to different African restaurants around Nigeria, florida and Georgia and I never ever ate food that was thisterrible. I ordered the chicken Sahara bowl which is served with couscous, however they were out of couscous, therefore I substituted the... couscous for their seasoned rice. The seasoned rice was delicious and the other ingredients that were mixed with the chicken wasgood. The bowl portion size was quite small for the price. Cute small boutique that has a great atmosphere and awesome customerservice. Read more

If you?re in the mood for amazing flavor, beautiful ambiance, and intellectual conversation this is a must try! Initially, I... stopped by for takeout and ended up dining in instead. The hostess greeted me and offered her personal recommendations. Truthfully speaking, you can?t go wrong with any of their fresh dishes, however I choose the oko stew, fufu, and jollofrice!! Mid meal I was personally greeted by the chef and had to give him the instant nod of approval! Simply put, the dishesare unique, fresh, flavorful, and a gem in tallahassee! I would highly recommend! I walked into this place and it was a beautiful ambiance. The young lady that greeted me was super nice. I asked a few questions... about the menu and she answered confidently. Unfortunately, for me I didn't do my homework. I didn't ask the right questions. After getting the food home and being very disappointed, I read the reviews. I thought I was getting authentic African food. Isee now this is Afro-fusion. So it's my mistake. If you are looking for authentic African food this is not it. In my opinion, myfood taste like a flavorful American soup with some familiar spices used in African dishes. I believe in supporting black ownedbusiness all over the world. I would like to suggest for you to reiterate to your customers Afro- fusion not Authentic Africanfood. So they don't get it confused. Great appreciation to you for bringing Afro flavor to Tallahassee much success, inshallah! Read more

Not going to lie. Amazing place to look at. But, the waitress got my order wrong. She said I would have to pay to make a new... order. The manager also asked other people how was the experience over and over and didn?t even speak to me. They gave verysmall portions. I spent $30 on a glass of wine and a small plate that barely had meat. Not to mention again it was the wrongfood. The waitress apologized but dang, why not get my correct food? Definitely won?t go back!! Don?t go to this place. Justkeeping it real! Read more
