I don’t know why I didn’t review earlier. When I was a student at FSU I would have G&G at least once a week. Now when I... visit Tallahassee, this is a MUST. Stopped by again this weekend after being away for over a year and it’s still just asamazing as ever. I can confidently say it’s my favorite restaurant in Tally. I’m from the Caribbean so I know when somethingis authentic. You can’t get more authentic or more delicious than G&G. From any of their platters (generous portions) to theirpatties. The dessert and lemonade is also great. I’ve introduced so many friends to Jamaican food by taking them to G&G andthey all became regulars as well. You will not be disappointed. EVERYTHING PROPER! I used to love this place this used to be my very favorite Jamaican or Caribbean style restaurant to go to. Today my experience... was less than satisfactory! They have gone way up on the price of food but serving much smaller portions for more moneyunsatisfactory! Ordinarily you get whole pieces of chicken when you order fried chicken.Today I got a box full of chopped uppieces of chicken with mostly bones and I wanted my money back as it was not $6.45 worth of chicken. The guy asked for a chanceto make it right, he went and added more chopped up pieces of chicken to the box. I'm so upset. Look like something I wouldserve to my dog. I should have just gotten my money back!!! The chicken tastes like its been sitting out for awhile Iremember a time when you got your money's worth of food (whole pieces of chicken) and the food tasted great. The last time Iordered from there I ordered curry chicken got a box full of rice and 4 knuckles of chicken small serving of cabbage andwatered down gravy. The quanity and quality is not the same anymore! You just lost a customer ???? Read more

It was absolutely delicious! We got the Ox tail with plantains. Definitely consider getting a homemade Arnold Palmer.

I was looking for a good Jamaican restaurant in Tallahassee and decided to come here because the pictures that they showed... actually looked good. I ordered curry chicken and white rice and I can’t lie the food smelled pretty good. I took a few bitesof the food and realized that something didn’t taste right. I dig through all the chicken and realize all of this is not evenfully cooked. I was disgusted and tried to call the store but no answer. Read more

Whenever I want a home cooked meal I come here. It’s made with love and super fresh. My favorite is the brown stew chicken... with rice, peas, and cabbage. They always hook it up and pour the gravy on the rice. I also never miss out on the beef patties, they are addicting. The customer service is great. Love it! Read more

#1, I'm a Jamaican Food fan. I worked in one when I was younger. This place is very similar. Curry Chicken was ????, so was... the Jerk Chicken (I like mine with a touch more kick, however nothing against their way, Very tasty) I tried yellow rice & riceand peas. Yellow rice had plenty of Curry Chicken gravy and was on point. The mixed vegetables & Stew cabbage were both good, but had probably been made an hour or so before my order. My dad had the oxtails (fyi- oxtails are a more expensive item) andenjoyed them..They had a brown gravy. The beef patty was good, I think they use Tower Isles Jamaican Beef patties? Which areexcellent and used at most every Jamaican restaurant. Covid seems to have been tough on the place, but business was fine whenI was there, 6pm. Service was solid, it's not like I asked any questions. Kola Champagne is my "go to" drink with Jamaicanfood, they seemed to have a good mix of Jamaican Kolas... Do yourself a favor go here and get a LOT of good food at reasonableto great prices. 30$+.......for 2 large meals, 2 soda, & a beef patty. From TX, I was just passing through... I was surprisedso many Jamaican spots in town, but only this and 1 other were open for dinner. Read more
