This is by far the dirtiest location in Tallahassee. The day I ordered take out at the counter it appeared the regional and... possibly district manager were present. They were standing around cutting up with staff and pretending to be important. All thewhile the drink station was so thick with grime and grease, not new dirt very old consistent dirt. Really irritating to have toget a gross lid and straw from a disgusting bin that has been restocked multiple times a day and never once wiped down. Insidewalls of coke freestyle machine and lever caked in stagnant syrup, not from 1 shift, weeks! Sandwich was as expected but dangget it together, folks will take notice and I hope they do. In the current state of food industry tou can't slip on small stuff.1 towel, 1 staff member, 15 minutes of work, this could have been avoided, which ultimately forces my mind to wander towardsfood safety behind the scenes. The sandwich is good but the mini is just half of a small so it's really mini. They forgot my cucumbers ????. We love the... hook and ladder sub. We were the first ones there for lunch and the floor was messy and the server was cleaning off the tablesand drink station with the same old dirty rag and no disinfectant spray Ewww. Isn't the last of the evening shift supposed tono the floors? Read more

Restaurant looked much cleaner than last visit. Ordering took quite a while in an almost empty restaurant. Evidently our order... was keyed in incorrectly and when we did not receive the Mac and cheese ordered and went up and requested, it was produced. However, during meal a staff member came up to tell us we had not paid for it and needed to see our receipt so she could doublecheck. Three interruptions to the 6 of us and a demand for payment - less than $2. When we explained we had ordered it, she wasquite adamant that yes we had, but the order had been input incorrectly and therefore, we owed them for what we had not paidfor. Not a win for customer service, all 6 adults were shocked by the incident. Lastly, understand that the orders are nolonger brought to the table, but when you place one big order and none of sandwich choices are indicated on the closedcontainers, we just have to dive in and open each to find our own? Surely there is a better way. Food was good, but service? A lot of I?ll will for less than $2. Read more

*update* I will be coming back. The sandwich WAS good Maybe next time>>>÷ Had a free sub for my birthday and it was okay.... It's been a while since I have had Firehouse but I remember it being more substantial. I gave it four out of five stars becauseit was free, so what are you really gonna complain about? But I teetered between three and four stars because it was apparentlymade for a Chihuahua and I literally wouldn't even consider it to have been big enough to be a snack. And why I'm not sure I'lleven be back ever again (without another free or almost free situation to see if that sandwich was an anomaly) is because theprice before my birthday discount was around $7 and there's no way in hell I would've paid more than MAYBE a dollar for theproduct I received. I was pretty disappointed because I remembered them just being SO good years back. But again, it was freeand we were nearby so I can't complain. Though it was such a sad couple bites of "sub" that I probably would be a little steamedif we had made a special trip there or driven too far off our original course to stop there. Is my memory of their Hook andLadder sub (and others);being Off. The. Chain. in the past just incorrect? Or has it just gone so far downhill that it was kindof a waste of time getting it for me, I weigh 129lbs and don't generally require copious amounts of food to fill me... Where'dya go, toasty and delicious satisfying subs of my memories?l Read more
