We walked in for our first visit and they immediately sat us to the left of the front room area to a table next to a window,... seeing the front door and waited over 12 - 15 min (time arriving was 11:45 am, before noon rush) before someone came to check onour table to see if someone had waited on us. We let her know we were on the verge of leaving being they didn't want to wait onus or so it appeared. She informed us that they are a rotating wait staff and not assigned areas, but also informed that she sawus sitting by the window for a bit, as did other waitresses throughout the restaurant, but she finally came over to wait onus. Not happy but did have an excellent lunch in the end, but for a first visit may have turned disastrous, if we tell our storyto friends and family, not sure who they were waiting to come in but we didn't appear to be important enough. Nice place but seating is very limited. They do have tables outside if the weather is nice. I like that they offer both... breakfast and a lunch menu which you can get at any time. The blueberry pancakes were tasty and the chicken skillet with eggswere good. Will go back. Read more
Treated my mom to breakfast and was very disappointed. We spent about 90.00 and our food wasn't fresh. My mom was missing her... home fries. My dad didn't have much country steak in his skillet. My French toast was rubbery and the sandwhich was dry. Myhusband's chicken fingers were overcooked. The only good things about the meal was the cinnamon roll and the waffles. Brunch here is very good and staff friendly. I had meat lovers omelet, my bride had veggie omelet and the sweet potato pancake a... favorite of hers. My friends had chicken and waffles (same every time he loves it). Coffee is good but they only provide smallpackets of creamer (flavored as well as hand and half). Read more
My second review for Canopy Road. I still recommend the cinnamon roll, it's pillowy, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth wonderfulness is... unforgettable. It's the first thing I tried on my first ever visit and it's still my top fave. If you are more health conscioussave this for the "cheat day" or try the Bee Bee skillet (healthy and filling). I'll have to leave a future review for thecountry fried steak with extra gravy.... it's to live for. Read more
I had the Fat Elvis today, which are pancakes with bacon and banana slices cooked inside, topped with melted peanut butter... chips. They were amazing! The coffee is always good and it's so pleasant to sit outside and watch the world go by. The serviceis also topnotch! Read more
This experience outweighs any negative experience I've ever witnessed at a place of this caliber. Arrived and waited for an... hour; after we were told it would take 30 min, during homecoming, so I understood. Got seated and waited an additional hour andcanceled. The waitress mentioned that the kitchen was backed up, but would have the food out soon. No food. Went in to speak tothe manager, Blake, and he had the most nonchalant and deadpan look on his face as if this was a waste of time. I mentioned tohim that the dining room was all but empty and the service wasn't good at the time. His response, "I've just come from FAMU soI've been supporting." Huh? I explained that as a manager, he should be visiting the tables and enquiring about the service.Deadpan look. I even mentioned to him how the kitchen, during my time here, had dropped at least 2 plates. Deadpan look. I thensaid, we'll cancel and leave because not one apology for the lack of service has been addressed. He then, after I addressed it,apologized. I had hoped to experience a stellar meal and excellent service. I recommend not going to this location during anybusy GameDay in Tallahassee. Blake and his team can't handle it and will fold under pressure. Unfortunately, they've sulliedthe name of this company and sad to say, I'll never visit this or any other location again. Read more
