Weird setup, you order and pay before you get seated so be ready for that. Everything is good, expect to pay 20 a plate but... it's a cut above diner fare. Don't miss the fish and chips and the Indian taco bread. It's fry bread with Mexican fixings, unique and tasty. Read more
Eggs Benny was yummy just way overpriced with this pathetic amount of hashbrowns. I post alot of breakfast reviews this was the... smallest portion I've ever gotten anywhere. Service was good. I also don't care for the pre-pay style of service and lockedrestroom key check out style. I won't return. Way to many other local options that exceed this experience. Read more
You have to stand in the lobby and read the menu on the wall then order and pay. They don't come to the table to take your... order. The prices have doubled. I won't be going back. Sorry. Read more
Great prices for the food. The burger dip had a similar taste to that of a fair burger. Simple but massive in size. The biscuits... and gravy was pretty good. The trick with this place is that all the food is simple but done well. It's not like eating atDenny's, it is much better. Had the chicken fried steak dinner meal. You could tell that although nothing amazing, the chickennoodle soup was made there, the green beans were given bacon and onions in what tasted like home made. It's stuff like this thatalways saves a place as long as the meal isn't rushed and seasoned. Which they seem to do enough of to suffice. Bloody Mary wasdecent, the liquor drinks (yes they serve drinks in the restaurant area, but be irritated to pay upfront instead of keeping atab going) I will be back to try more. Very glad this place still exists and had gotten a facelift a while back to modernize it. Read more
Food was quite good. Little hole in the wall and a little hard to find because the front sign fades away. Waitress who was... flying solo was right in top of things. You order your food before you sit down. That wasn't clear but we figured it out.Interesting idea and it streamlined for customer and wait staff. Read more
Good food great service low cost and no TAX! I'm over 50 years old. been in the area all my life. Passed by the Thunderbird... restaurant many times but never have eaten there Until now. Wish I would have went sooner. My wife is pretty picky about food. She ate a huge and I mean HUGE omelette and I had the Thunderbird half pound hamburger with steak fries. I thought to myself mywife will never eat all that, but she did to my amazement. Definitely will be back if the good Lord allows. PS the tables wereclean as well has the silverware and glasses. It's special in many ways to me been living down the street for about 40 years now. I remember when it was a different place... before the restaurant, bar, new smoke shop, before the cigar bar. Back when the store was where the restaurant now is. Wow longtime a go. But I had the pleasure of having breakfast there with a friend, it was a little different as you order your foodbefore being seated, the menu has been blown up to 4 ft. by 4 ft. Pieces of wall art. Hung on the wall by the door, with agenerous font that can be read from across the room with the right eyesight which I don't have so I have to stand a bit closer. It's kind of intimidating and just has hard to decide what to order as a regular menu. Once order is place and payed for theyseat you at a clean well lit table and depending on how busy it is the staff comes by to ask what is needed to help with yourselection of food to be eaten once served they even offer flavored creamer for your coffee. Great atmosphere relaxed andenjoyable. Refreshing considering most eateries are about profit, speed, and effective almost serviceable customer service nowdays. Read more
