I ordered my pizza around 8pm by the time I got home (over a 25 min drive) and found the pizza was burnt they had already... closed. I called the next day and the man who answered didn't want to help because I had ordered it from a different crew. WhenI pressed him on the matter he admitted near closing the oven isn't checked as often because they're cleaning. I told him Iwanted another pizza and offered to return the pizza and provide photos. He said the owner was on vacation but could take mynumber. I called again that night and they refused to make a replacement and just offered a refund. I wanted to give themanother shot but their customer service sucks plus the pizza wasn't edible. Updating from 1 to 4 stars: I talked to the ownerwho agreed to make things right. He was very nice and apologetic I can tell he really cares about his business. My concern is heasked me to let them know in advance so they could take good care of me???? I'm too paranoid for that plus I want a consistentexperience. But the sauce on the first pizza was good and they have quality toppings. I won't be going back but from the othergood reviews my experience isn't the norm. Read more
After seeing the article on the News Tribune, we decided to check this place out. We were blown away by how good it is! The... crust alone was the best I've ever had! We ended up trying 3 of the daily special slices and they were incredible. We loved itso much that we ordered an entire pie a few days later! Ok so my husband, from Jersey, has been searching for an authentic New York style pizza for over 10 years here, and craving it... so much! So happy we finally found this place! Not gonna lie, we did order during high peak on a Friday, So we were ?warned? ofhigh wait time, so we waited (A good while) for our pizzas hehe. But after tasting the first bite my husband said he would havewaited another hour lol! So looks like they get his stamp of approval. He loves it! This place can get busy and for good reason. Probably the best pizza I?ve had on the west coast. Huge pies and slices that are... authentic tasting New York style pizza. You can even order toppings half half as long as it?s the same sauce. It can take a bitof a wait but Incan assure you it will be worth it. Read more
I had high hopes for this pizza. It looked great at first, but it ended up being incredibly bland. Add in the raw dough and... weird curdled white sauce, and you have easily the worst pizza in Tacoma. Avoid this place if you're looking for a flavorfulslice. Read more
We?ve had great customer service and delicious pizzas time and time again at Salamone?s. We only experienced one issue when we... requested extra sauce while ordering. I?m not sure if this is a NY-style pizza thing, but they just drizzled a little bit of iton top. We were laughing too hard to be mad, but I hope this wasn?t an extra charge, haha! Read more
