Beware of overpriced mediocre takeout. My wife ordered takeout from the online menu, which provided no prices, for me to pick up... on my way home from work. I was shocked when I had to fork out $81 for two orders of curry, one chicken fried rice and a wontonappetizer! The Curry was bland with absolutely no spice (ordered spice level 4) and the rest of the food was meh. No where nearworth what we paid. Not again. Read more
No prices on the menu on their website, so wound up unpleasantly surprised upon pickup that a lunch combo was $20. The sauce for... the orange chicken was overly sweet, and the side of pad thai(?) was incredibly mushy. I feel like I ate cheap Chinese takeoutbut paid twice as much for it. Won't be back. Read more
My Husband and I came here for lunch. The soup that came with the lunch was not good, it tasted like water with fish sauce. The... rice is white so that's easy. The pad thai was good and the entree was good. The menu does not show prices which is Shady in myopinion. The reason I'm giving it two stars is because the owners are not very welcoming. I can't count the number of lunches I've had with clients and colleagues at Royal Thai! This is one of my favorite places in... Fircrest (and really all of Tacoma) for a working lunch date. They're so quick and friendly- but the food is CONSISTENTLYEXCELLENT. They have a fantastic lunch special where you can get curry AND pad thai which is awesome because who wants tochoose? This place has delicious food at reasonable rates. The staff is very attentive and the atmosphere fits the cuisine well.
Today was my first time eating here, but definitely won't be the last. When I first got there the menue seemed a little pricey,... but I can assure you it's worth it. My food was fairly quick and perfectly cooked. We ordered Mongolian beef, chicken Pad Thaiand spicy garlic fried chicken. I tried every dish and each one as good as the next. Flavor and spice levels both on point. Idid have to send a couple of dirty plates back but they quickly brought clean plates over. Staff were friendly and prettyattentive. UPDATE: I?m really sad to take away 2 stars. The service on 10/10/21 was just no up to the standard that it always was. No one... refilled our water even once. The employees were at the counter the whole time on their phones and chatting. Years and years ofgood service and it?s sad that they now have inattentive employees. Really sets the tone. Will probably be looking for a newplace. I?ve been to this place back in 2014 & now. Food is still made with quality! Their pad Thai is really good and the spicelevels are true to the number you choose! Staff is friendly, place is clean! Definitely give it a try! However, bring a jacket,they love to have AC on full blast and I always get super cold inside. Read more
This place has gone downhill and it is not worth it here anymore. I understand things are going up and getting even more pricey... nowadays, but the inflation and being a "small business" card doesn't accommodate all places... might as well shut down then.The plates are not great in proportion compared to before and are not worth the $20+... not to mention the overpriced, mediocreappetizers. Parking is terrible as well but can't blame them. Might as well drive the half a mile down Mildred to Golden Teak,which is a Thai restaurant that has actually maintained their quality and service and they have reasonable prices!!!!! Read more
