I'm vegetarian and my girlfriend is vegan and we love this place. We come here frequently and the service is always impeccable.... It's a common takeout dinner meal for us too if we're exhausted, and the burritos are so big we can stretch them out to twomeals. Literally every item on the menu is delicious but I'm a huge fan of the Chipotle potato burritos and tacos. Vegan Mexicanfood is rare and having this option so close to our home is top tier. Amazing food!! I loved this place. My boyfriend and I went last night. The service is really fast and the waiter let us try a... sample before ordering. It's really nice that you can order anything as a bowl, burrito or taco. The red sauce burrito wasdelicious. This place is 100% vegan. Read more
I didn't know this place was vegan until I entered, and figured why not. I didn't expect the food to taste like meat or to be... that great. Taste was decent (I am not a vegan vegetarian) and there is one salsa (deep red) that allowed the flavor to pop out.If you eat the tacos by themselves they don't have the best taste but the salsa makes the flavor pop more. Hibiscus Drink tastedhomemade and actually brewed instead of powder. I did not order any alcoholic drinks. Parking sucks so good luck with that. Read more
The food here just isn?t flavorful. We asked for salt and limes to spice up our salsa and queso, but it still wasn?t enough. The... beans taste like they came from a can. We also tried the tamarind margarita, but the only flavor in it was tequila. The cinnamonrim was only dry cinnamon, not a sugary rim like you?d expect. Read more
Got carryout and all I could taste was beans in my burrito. They put way too much beans and not enough of the rest. Also they... charge $2.75 for the tiniest bit of guac that didn?t even look or taste fresh. Got the jamaica drink which tasted good but itwas gone in like 5 sips because they fill the entire cup with ice. Wont be coming back. Not worth it, especially for it beingoverpriced. Read more
sustainable reviewer here. I love that we have a plant-based restaurant in the neighborhood. The chips are crispy and thin, the... salsa has chunks of pepper in it - ????? and the guacamole is fresh. We got our order to go and just about everything was inpaper or compostable plastic. The only downside: everything came in a plastic bag. When we asked if they had paper bags, theysaid no. Seems an awful lot of trouble to create paper boxes but then have it all wrapped up in plastic. Read more
I really wanted to like the updated El Borracho. It used to be one of my favorite spots for happy hour but I was seriously... disappointed. The only reason it gets two stars is the bartender was really great. The el cheapo margarita used to be good buttasted so much like sweet and sour mix I could barely finish it. I have a soy allergy so most of the menu was unavailable to me.But I did get a shortie and it tasted like a frozen burrito or something I could?ve thrown together at home. The food either hadno flavor or was overly spicy and not in a pleasurable way. The order online meant no interaction with any servers and theyseemed really understaffed. The staff interactions used to be great before the changes. It was also odd that the bar bill andthe food bill had to be separate. You?re better off trying another place. Read more
We went to this place when it was later in the evening on the suggestion of a friend. The drinks were good from what my friend... said and the food was good just the portion was small since I ordered a nachos and it came and basically it to go box for a dinein order.
