Reviews for The Hops Spot in Syracuse, NY
Big family pub with a games area in back, a kids? play area with a small slide, more than 40 beers on tap, and vegetarian... friendly options. The well-designed menu features poutine, duck and pork, as well as familiar pub fare. There is ample seatingwith booths, tables, and ample space at the rail. Basically everything a group is looking for. Read more
Burger was terrible!!!! We drove all the way from Philadelphia to get the best burger in town at Pal n' Angus but it was closed.... So we decided to go to the Hops Spot, which had really good reviews for burgers. Sadly, the burger was extremely plain, nottasty, not juicy. So disappointing!!! I'd give them 1 star for burgers... But I'm giving three because Poutine was one of thebest I've had (even better than the ones in Canada), nice gravy and curds. The salad was also really fresh and creative, niceingredients and interesting combination of flavors. I'll come back for poutine, but NOT FOR THE BURGER. Read more
Dinner before Hamilton at Landmark Theater. Said 45 min wait, we were seated in 30 min. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.... Great draft beer selection. I went for my ol' standby "swallow wit" by Middle Ages Brewery. For food I had these "buffalo"chicken lettuce wraps (pictured). Flavor was good, but the lettuce pieces were so small, I expected them to be bigger. Therest of my party ordered burgers, and ate them right up. I also ordered Fox Fries = Beer cheese and bacon fries. Very tasty, fries are good. 4? because everything was just good, nothing was stellar. Would go again. Read more

Great time here during my recent trip to Syracuse. Metered street parking in the area. Nice open and neat space. Lots of seating... both tables, booths and bar-style. All staff encountered were friendly and patient. Prices were fair and on par with similardowntown places. (Appetizers $13ish, burgers $15ish) Food was good-very good. Amazing beer selection with tons of beer on tap aswell as a few can/bottled ones. Beer prices were also fair. ($4 - $9) You can select various sizes for the tapped beer...10oz,16 oz,...which was convenient. Lots of large TV screens viewable from anywhere throughout the space. I would love to return whenI am in the area again to try some other food items.... Read more
I was really excited to see in the Happy Cow app that The Hops Spot has a separate vegan menu. This made it a great choice for... me and my very omnivore friend when she was in town for a visit. I ordered the Vegan Stampede and thought it was very tasty. The fries were also great. We liked the atmosphere and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back! Read more

Great food and atmosphere, everything we had was good. The duck wings are fantastic, burger temperature spot on and was really... surprised about the Pork belly, smoked to perfection.
