The food was good, the preparation should have been more organized. The fish was prepared, had to wait longer for the shrimp... and then even longer because they forgot to cook the fries and onion rings neither were cooked at the same time before we couldleave the store the food was cold...not busy when the order was placed but sweated when we arrived home $50 down the tube! Always the freshest seafoods and fried vegetables in CNY, and always cooked to perfection. For decades the best, highest quality... food consistently served by the Falcone family. Read more

The review I presented to my girlfriend from Atlanta: "Making believe we get into a HUGE argument, you STILL have to come to... Syracuse just to get the calamari from this place. Because after that experience, we would forgive each other every trespass andlife would be a constant state of bliss. So much bliss that we would have to create reasons to argue just to break the monotonyof perpetual joy. THAT is how good the calamari is. Read more

The Fish Cove has been around for years but the food and service are just as good as it was on day one. Joe and his staff are... helpful, efficient and even amusing at times, as you wait for your order. They love what they do and it shows! My usual fare isa piece of Haddock, fried mushrooms and Mac salad. The fish and mushrooms are lightly battered, fried to perfection and nevergreasy. The Mac salad is one of my faves with just a touch of sweetness that pairs well with the mayo and carrots. The menu hasfar more on it and they also do offer baked fish that is tender and flaky but without the added calories from being fried. Ifyou love fish this is the place to go! Just be warned that Friday's, especially during Lent, are super busy. Even so, the staffgets you and your order out quickly. Just a reminder that the restaurant accepts cash only but there is an ATM inside as well asseveral banks surrounding the area to get cash from. Read more

Stopped in for a quick fish sandwich to try them out. Was a very good sandwich. Nice sized portion of fish and the price was... very reasonable. Owner seems like a very nice guy. I will definitely be back in the future when I?m in the area. UPDATE Thisplace is a bit of a hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get a decent sized piece of fish, and other times it'll be very skimpy with aton of breading. Out of the 5 or so times I stopped in,2 times the fish was a decent size, the other three times it was prettymuch all breading. Might have to pass on this one because of the inconsistency. Maybe new and very regular customers get goodsized pieces. And those in the middle get the rest? Too bad because the two times I got a decent sized portion it was prettygood. Read more

A great traditional fish fry place especially for those that keep up the tradition of Fish Fry Friday. Always great fresh... haddock from the fryer . They also will deep fry clam strips, scallops, calamari, shrimp, smelt, mushrooms, and zucchini. Theyalso have on hand a nice baked haddock for those who are avoiding fried foods. There's also french fries and onion rings doneup fresh. And their baked beans have a taste unique to this proprietor. Even on their crowded Fridays, they keep the line movingand you'll be out of there in less time than most fast food places. Read more
