The food was good, the preparation should have been more organized. The fish was prepared, had to wait longer for the shrimp... and then even longer because they forgot to cook the fries and onion rings neither were cooked at the same time before we couldleave the store the food was cold...not busy when the order was placed but sweated when we arrived home $50 down the tube! The Fish Cove has been around for years but the food and service are just as good as it was on day one. Joe and his staff are... helpful, efficient and even amusing at times, as you wait for your order. They love what they do and it shows! My usual fare isa piece of Haddock, fried mushrooms and Mac salad. The fish and mushrooms are lightly battered, fried to perfection and nevergreasy. The Mac salad is one of my faves with just a touch of sweetness that pairs well with the mayo and carrots. The menu hasfar more on it and they also do offer baked fish that is tender and flaky but without the added calories from being fried. Ifyou love fish this is the place to go! Just be warned that Friday's, especially during Lent, are super busy. Even so, the staffgets you and your order out quickly. Just a reminder that the restaurant accepts cash only but there is an ATM inside as well asseveral banks surrounding the area to get cash from. Read more
