Reviews for Mad Batter Kitchen in Sylva, NC
Little bit pricey, but I've never been disappointed by their food, and service is excellent. Nice assortment of vegan and... vegetarian options, too. I'm not a frequent "dinner out" person, but when they host events it's a fun night out. Add thevariety of Lazy Hiker brews available, and it's always a win; they get all my stars! Read more
I came during the Sylva pride event, so I expected it to be a little busy. There was enough seating, and we were able to get... cups for water. It took a few minutes to place our order, then about another 10 minutes to get our food. We ordered the tortillachips with beer cheese and the bacon cheese fries. The food was great! I was not a fan of the beer cheese, it tasted like quesoto me, but my boyfriend enjoyed it. The bacon cheese fries were amazing, the fries were crisp and the cheese and bacon went verywell with the ranch sauce. I was able to take some leftovers home as well, and they did well in the air fryer. Read more
What an excellent place for a great meal! Stumbled in around 3 after looking at their tempting menu. As vegans, it's hard to... find good food sometimes. But Mad Batter had just the perfect dishes for us. One of our group also had a burger and soup thathe declared delicious. The craft beer from the Lazy Hiker Brewing co was the perfect addition. We left full and happy! Nicepeople too. Read more
What a great place! Perfect for beer, food, or just hanging out on their back patio. Most beer places aren't really known for... their food, but this place breaks that mold! We had the Korean BBQ sandwich with the chips and beer cheese, wings, and themelted mozz knots. All of it was delicious, but the beer cheese and the knots were excellent! This place is definitely going onour rotation of regular places to visit! Looks like they do live music and the place is plenty large enough for big crowds. Theoutdoor area is done nicely and creates a charming and scenic place for drinks or a meal. There is an upstairs area with dartsthat overlooks the stage. Staff was super warm and inviting! Read more
We're traveling for vacation and stopped here around 12:30 on a Monday. 5 starts for ambience and the overall setting, it's a... very nice place. Even has a beautiful outdoor patio area. However, despite this the food was sub par. My fiance ordered theGreek bowl, he said it was alright. I ordered the house salad and loaded fries, which came to be almost $17. Salad was fine, nothing special about it And not enough to be worth $6. The fries were old, the shredded cheese was melted on it like 20 minutesago, it just wasn't that good. And it was $10 for it! That on top of an over 30 minute wait time, not really impressed. Theyhave a good selection of beer And drafts tho, so that's a plus. Ide come here for drinking and maybe some small bar food, butthat's it. Read more

The vibe and ambiance is absolutely awesome. Jarod was a great server. Hunter is the best pizza maker in western north carolina.... We had a large pepperoni and an order of hummus. Just wow. Next time we will try other items on the menu. And the restaurant isconnected to the Franklin NC branch of The Lazy Hiker. Great year round and specialty beers Read more
After a strenuous hike on a chilly day we were looking for easy and hearty fare, and this place delivered! The fall harvest bowl... was absolutely delicious - coconut rice, cranberries, veggies, tofu, cilantro lime sauce, so many colors and flavors all workingin harmony for a delicious and filling dinner. The burger was also yummy and had options for dairy and gluten free, which isn'tthe easiest thing to find! Very friendly and quick service, nice local spot. Highly recommend! Read more
