We had an absolutely delicious meal here. I had the shrimp and grits and added a side of hush puppies. Both the meal and the... hush puppies were the best I?ve had. I hate it when shrimp and grits are really spicy, and that was not the case here. The gravywas perfect. I also loved the hush puppies - they were warm and crisp and flavorful. And I?ve had a lot of hush puppies in mylifetime. My husband also really enjoyed his fried oysters. He got the small appetizer size and added fries and he was stuffed.Also loved the tea in mason jars. We were able to sit next to the creek, which was a nice experience. Our waitress was sofriendly and helpful - really liked her. Overall. a top notch experience! I added a photo of the gluten-free menu, which isquite extensive. So delicious! Stopped here on vacation and enjoyed every bite. Our server, Maddie, was so sweet and attentive. She gave us her... personal recommendations. The trout almondine was AMAZING. We got the lobster mac & cheese appetizer which was also very good. Alittle pricey but well worth it. We?re from Florida and particular about our seafood. I have eaten all over the US and Europe but never have I experienced the type of service that Megan gave me tonight. She is... incredible and really makes Creekside the best in Western NC. She quickly realized how low maintenance I was and quit asking meif I needed anything and when she walked by she just made sure to make eye contact and smile. Even gave me a mint that I knowshe bought herself for her customers. Delivered my check with the toothpick container, SERIOUSLY! She is a one of a kind. We were just passing through NC and wanted to get some seafood. The place has great reviews so we decided to try their food! It... was a great disappointment when we tried the seafood combo! The food was not seasoned well and over cooked! The oysters did nottaste nor look fresh at all! It was stated on the menu that it was market price. $75 for the seafood combo for 2. Maddie, theserver , was very nice so eventhough we did not enjoy the food, we tipped her 20%. The fried food (we did not order fried) maytaste good but the boil combo is not recommended at all! A perfect spot for our 10th anniversary while on vacation in the Smokies! We shared the lobster mac and each had trout in... different ways! All the food that came by smelled amazing and our waitress was so pleasant! Will definitely come back when wemake it back to the area. Read more
